We are naturist too. I must admit I'm a little apprehensive of the idea of a naturist section. The majority of people have commonsense and respect for others but there are some out there who don't. We are by no means against outdoor fun when discreet and appropriate. But we visit sometimes with our family. The last thing we want is the risk of more people being inappropriate when at beach. Although info on where to go is out there I'd worry making that information more easily available on here would encourage the wrong people into the wrong spaces. Especially when no doubt there would be lots of posts on where the sexy action is etc. Which may well be some of the places families like to go. Which is fine if everyone acted appropriately and with respect but I fear it would attract more people who don't to spoil some great spots.

My other fear is by doing this it aids people who want to stop naturism. The appearance of a naturist section on fab (especially because many posts will probably talk about sexy goings on) will add fire to their argument that naturism is about perverts and sex. Remember the tabloids are all over this site looking for low hanging fruit. If there's a moral panic it could see pressure to ban naturism or at least at beaches that our seen as hot spots and spoil things for every naturist.

as a naturist and a local club member i do think that naturism and swinging are best kept at arms length from each other,,, it only takes 1 person to mention to other naturists at a beach or club that you are also a swinger and it opens pandora's box for all sorts of trouble,,,

Having used a good many of the UK and Ireland's naturist beaches ( and particularly mu local one at Fraisethorpe) I find that people generally are very orderly with no overt sexual activity. Anyone misunderstanding either the etiquette or legal situation is soon put right!

Having such a section on here is hardly likely to either feed our opponents with ammunition nor do anything but ensure that any illusions about behaviour on a public beach are clarified.

I lived on a naturist cam for 2 years....then later started swinging.

Most people don't realise...a lot of swingers are naturist, but not all naturists are swingers. They are 2 different communities.

I'm not a naturist but admire a naked human body, personally I don't think naturism and swinging should be on a site together as it would give people the complete wrong idea about what naturism is about

Some naturists swing, some don't. Some swingers are naturists some not.

It's perfectly OK to discuss naturism here.

Yes but how much general naturism would be discussed v which beech is all the action going on at, who's in the dunes todays, Where's best to watch, etc?

These gets discussed on here anyway in other sections. But having a specific naturism labelled section full of people discussing where and when all the filth is going on (often in recognised naturist spaces) I think will be very damaging to all naturist. I think it will encourage people to think of these spaces as a sexy free for all rather than predominantly spaces for vanilla people to enjoy free from exposure or worry of sexual advances or activities. Not that we are against mixing the two in appropriate spaces. But some people have no commonsense and inappropriate behaviour does happen in the wrongs spaces, effecting the wrong people which we wouldn't want to encourage. Which is sad because we holiday as naturist with family and naturally want them to feel totally safe (especially in a nude environment as you can understand).
