option to see if someone is married

I think it would be good to search for people on here and have a tick option if you want to meet someone who is married or in a relationship??

anyone else agree at all?

Yep, I'd love the option to filter out married / attached people...... But then you'd be filtering out couples who are obviously married / attached.

Also many people who are cheating but not upfront about it would potentially just claim single as their marital status..

we think one big give away is them say in travel only

the last thing we want or need is an irate mrs comming to our door when he has been caught out

? We have cant accommodate and have will travel..... the reason being is we have children and refuse to play in our house. Hence will travel.

As said before the married or not married button will only work with the ones that tell the truth.

This would never work because most who are in a relationship or married lie about it anyway with the odd exception of the honest ones so easy to tick single even when your not .

I think as it would be such an easy option to implement it would be worth trying. Simply a case of replicating the smokers option.

Certainly parrallels, seen as addicitve disgusting habit, which their partners disapprove of but also something people don't admit on their profile as they don't want to limit their odds

Ditto to above comment, there are lots of marrieds on here and we wouldn't knowingly meet married men..some are honest and tell you in a message...

This would be great, you can then filter out those who say they are married/attached instantly and then all you've got to do is filter the rest through other means like 'cannot accom' or 'only call me during work hours'. Would make life a lot easier.

Couples who say cannot accom usually have a good reason, single men who say this are usually cheaters. Just my experience.

I'm single and I don't accommodate purely for safety reasons.

I also know some (genuinely) single guys who prefer the first couple of meets to take place on neutral territory in a hotel before they start to invite people back to theirs.

On of my fave friends shares with an elderly relative so doesn't invite back to his.

It's not always as clearcut as a male who doesn't accom is a lying cheat.

Instead of having a pointless button that no one will use, one possible solution is not to make pariahs out of people who are married / in a relationship; too many threads Ive seen where people have been ripped to shreds for what is effectively 'their choice'.

Allowing people to be open and honest is far more worthwhile than a tick box.

I only travel but this is due to me not being able to afford a whole flat to myself and the flat share rules say no guests. I even have to smoke out side and not in my room or an alarm go's off.

So not being able to accommodate does not automatically mean someone is a cheater it may just mean there is no point in one single guy to pay over the odds for a dinky little flat when all he needs is a nice room to rest his head of a night.

That's another of those 1 rule for 1 and another for somebody else on this site. Why is it OK for a single female to say can't accommodate yet a single guy can't because it automatically means he's married? Could be any number of reasons a single guy can't or simply won't accommodate. Even single guys can have kids, or still live with parents or flatmates, maybe just doesn't want to due to nosey neighbours or just feels more comfortable away from home.

The reasons a married couple won't accommodate can be just as relevant to a single guy
