I think everyone would agree with this.

There should be a way of stopping other people from screenshotting and downloading your photos etc without permission.

Either from your profile or if sent them through message.

There should be a way to stop it as some other websites have this I think

The ability to screenshot a webpage is built into windows and android (not sure about apple devices) so there would be no way for Fab to block it.

There are ways to make it slightly more difficult to download pics from a webpage - but they can easily be got around with a fairly minimal amount of technical knowhow.

There is an option for any pics you send to another member in a message to be auto deleted from the message after they've read it.

Ultimately if you're genuinely very worried about what might happen if you send potentially compromising pics to a stranger on the internet, a very obvious solution presents itself.

Don't send potentially compromising pics of yourself to strangers on the internet.

I'm not on about that, I'm on about when people just do it for the fun of it without asking permission.

Like I have seen lots saying people have took their photos, not necessary on fab but on other sites

Trouble is, there will always be ways around it.

If things are put into action to make it more difficult to do such things, that can lead people into a false sense of security leading them to post things that otherwise may not.

They can be caught out when pictures are downloaded etc.

There is always a way around it, even if people take a photo using a camera aimed towards another device.

Just be mindful what you share, if you have concerns

We've had people screen shot our photos, photo shop them to make "hilarious" additions and send them back to us. . We always tell them we find this unacceptable and block them. The reality is though that we put the photos up, there is an explanation in FAQs as to why the site doesn't right click protect photos and we accept that once our photos are on the net there's not much we can do to stop people screen shotting them.

The following is from FAQ

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.
