uploading photos

Somewhere quiet

If you upload a new photo as "friends only or private" why does it upload in full view publicly ? This is wrong as there may be people on here that you don't want to see your pics!!

It wasnt mine it was a friend who put hers on and ticked private but it uploaded public and now shes innundated with messages she didnt want ! I came across her pic and told her it was in full view!

Did she add one and then choose done and add another because then the visibility filter goes back to public maybe she didn’t notice for the second pic?

We've had this on another site. It seems that there is a small time lag between the picture being uploaded and then the 'private' status being applied to it. No idea if that's happening here though.
