Users who block single guys

I find it frustrating that some users select “ not interested in single guys “ or block single guys - they then view profiles of singles guys , sometimes regularly , in some cases it’s not possible to view their profiles in return ! Also not possible to chat with them! I kinda feel that I’d they are not interested or don’t want single guys on their profiles then they shouldn’t be able to view them !!

Just like you, I once got fed up of people viewing my profile whilst I was blocked from viewing theirs.

I found a solution.

A very, very simple solution -

I deleted my profile - that fucked em!

If a user stops anyone from being able to message them through filters, doesn't make it so their profile cannot be viewed.

If a profile is unavailable to be viewed it is either you have been blocked or they have hidden their profile.

If they have hidden it. It is hidden to everyone.

You're cross because other people have opted out of receiving messages. Really? It hasn't occurred to you that instead of receiving 100s of unwanted and sometimes abusive messages from single men - some people would rather just contact those men they are interested in? You're objecting to other people having some control over their experiences. Your entitled attitude is why people choose to do that!

If you block a profile, you can't view it. If it's filtered out, both profiles can still look, just no contact.

find it difficult to understand as the Op has stated. If a person preference isn't for neither shouldn't be able to view as it's not a match would save the clutter. when a person has set a preference, and would be unavailable to view same principle applies to photos and videos in the gallery criteria.

You've given your opinion and I have given mine. Different vantage points but fwiw frustrated is a synonym for annoyed, irritated and exasperated. So your language indicated that you were cross about it.

I quite agree with what you say it does happen to me as well it makes me laugh when They say single guys we will find you! Like you would be interested in some of them anyway?

Maybe one day people will understand. They've blocked guys to stop getting Floods of desperate messages full of cock pics to allow them to freely choose anyone that takes there fancy and make direct contact.

I have met SF and CPLs who block single males but approached direct. Accept you are not there type, get over it and move on as you ain't what they are looking for.

If you see the inbox of a cpl or female, you'd fully understand as they are swamped with messages, abuse and arrogance so don't blame them.

I have that I am not interested in single guys. Simply as a message filter, maybe Fab should have different options. As I am interested, just not in any messages at the moment. Maybe the profiles you have viewed are the same? Choosing not interested is not the best fit for me, but the only option to stop messages. We need a better way to avoid confusion.

Here here! The sooner people begin to realise this the better.

Op, they block single guys so they choose who they want to play with and contact them, sounds like you were being considered hence the multiple views. Just get on with what you're doing and take the views as a compliment, a bonus if you get a message, it really is no big deal.

I know this doesn't speak for all, we had to do the same, there have been some absolute gents but some down right psychos which truth be told scared us a bit and we chose to block.

I do just this. On my couple's account. It's because I don't want 100s of messages. I like to reply to messages. I think it's rude not to. So, I block single men. Then the men haven't wasted their time messaging me. I like men, but I'm very fussy, so it's best if I look at profiles and choose them.

Do you think that's fair enough?

Someone has blocked single males but their profile says they are looking for single males!

This means that they want to find and contact single males first, rather than be innundated with messages from them. If someone who has blocked single males messages you first, you'll be able to message them back.

To the OP first of all welcome to the forum, please don't be put off from sticking around, it can normally be friendlier than this.

Some people like to use their filters to limit the mails they get while searching for males . If they don't mail you after looking at your profile it would probably mean they kept looking, however someone may well mail you one day after looking so what you are suggesting would mean you may miss out on a meet if they couldn't view your profile.

Some people will use the message filters to cut down on the ammount of clutter in their inbox. From our own experience in the past we have missed out on local meets when our inbox has been flooded by people 20 years out of our age range and 300 miles away. Have you considered that the person you are thinking of may want to contact select people direct, rather than be overwhelmed by unwanted offers, and by repeatedly looking at your profile it could be you they are interested in?

If you cannot view there profile then its down to one of two things:

1 - They have blocked you and therefore they won't appear on your 'who's looked at you' list, clearly that's not the case. 2 - They have hidden their profile and therefore nobody can view it, irrespective if they are a single man, coupls, trans or whatever.

As an 'Open minded genuine and respectful guy' you could maybe consider why people make the choices they make, rather than berate them for it.

We are guilty of that "Crime" as we do block Single Males who only have the infamous " Dick" and only that or it's the very 1st thing we see when veiwing their profile and also the one line profile as we think it about sums them up ...zero effort for maxium reward ?? and the crazy steadfast belief tht openly bragging that you are basically a life support system for your penis ?? so the abilty to hold a convsersation that stimulates as well as be witty etc etc isn't on the cards or even their thoughts and it even thinks for you ?? and so we'd rather not meet up as Mrs4 has far far far far better things to do than..and Fab is a brutal arena ...

For single men here, anything that helps you narrow down your list of potential partners us a godsend. It helps you to refine and focus your efforts appropriately.

There is zero point in contact with people who don't want your attention. They may only seek single men out themselves and want none of you to contact them. Blocking is the useful tool that prevents anyone wasting effort.

The site allows anyone to view others, unless they are blocked. Being able to view is not a sign of their interest.

Be grateful that you have many other people to focus on and leave the rest out of your mind. It's common that many people use the site according to their preferences, which will often be different to our own - that's what the site tools are designed for, so we can all be happy, using the site in a style that works for us.
