"Not interested in me" flag?

Hello,

I send a lot of messages and get few responses, I guess that that is typical for single guys that are not Chris Hemsworth?

It's not easy to keep track of who I've previously messaged and had a 'nil response' from. What I end up doing is making a private note against their profile to 'flag' to me that they're not interested so I don't message them again, wasting their time, my time and increasing traffic.

Having a flag that I can tick to say "Not interested in me." would be more efficient.

Not sure about the development effort versus how many guys would actually use this feature though!

Best wishes.

I doubt many would use it tbh, but it's a great time saving exercise

If you are a site supporter it says on the users profile.

"You mailed them xxxx time ago"

Or you could simply.block them to stop you from messaging them again.

This is what I was going to suggest. I block anyone I am not interested in meeting or isn't interested in meeting me. Saves future pointless messages.

Exactly this. It's not a comment on people's worth as human beings.

If you try to message someone you already messaged but who didn't reply a warning comes up saying pretty much that doesnt it?

This feature is already available, on the mobile version at least.

In the profile of a person you are interested in, click menu. The choice to leave personal notes appears in the drop down menu.

There you can leave notes that are linked to the profile, but only you can see them.

Such as “message read, but not replied to”

“Replied, but said I was a gargoyle”

“Replied, saying not her type”

Etc

Majority of the times its probably not because people don't wanna meet you but you should try been a part of a couple or a women's profile it's the fact we get hundred of messages in one day some times so very difficult to keep track etc

I have had messages opened and not responded to, but then had a response days later. Could be they were distracted etc, so could be blocking someone that may have been delayed in answering

A town near you

We often get the same copy and paste message from guys days apart!

So I guess if people could note who they have already mailed they could save a bit of effort

Fairly certain it’s called a block button. Works well.

I think this and the OPsuggestion, reflect some missing account tools/abilities.

We currently have Friends and Hotlist, in addition to blocking people but some better managed functionality would be fantastic.

Eg, if you could subdivide Friends and other users into more interests. Eg, you could group users by social only, or geographic or specific interests.

If you have people you'd like to meet if you're off to a certain place, whether a town, club or event, etc. Or to meet for specific interests, sexual or otherwise.

You could then pullup your potential Manchester, Winchester etc prospective meets, before you travel there, to advise them of it.

Or, if organising your party, you could pull that list of contacts up.

Your contacts subdivision groups shouldn't necessarily need to be Friends or Hotlist contacts, although they could be, if you wanted.

You'd still be able to add notes on them too. And a subdivision could be those who you gave verifications to.

The term Contact 'Category' may obviously be inappropriate, unwieldy etc. Perhaps we could just have Contacts added as a feature, additionally to Friends, and then we have a range of prefilled Categories to pick from, though also being able to create our own category types, eg Manchester Social.

I've really needed this type of functionality for years, so I'm sure others would benefit from it or could refine the idea.

I agree, it's a massive waste of time clicking on profiles, only to find they're already ignoring you or they're not interesting to me etc.

You know that the block features work very well and you wouldn't see them in your updates rather than having to make notes which I'm sure adds further clutter to the sites system

Block button also makes browsing much quicker too. Whilst you’re looking, never going to like? Block.

Not replying doesn’t mean they are not interested, we can get 100’s of messages a day and try to respond but it’s not possible. I would suggest making your message stand out, we get so many messages from guys saying “what you up to babe” may attach a pic, be different and stand out, it might work! Good luck!
