Does anybody else agree with me it's hide time we had a much better authentication / verification system.

11 years on and off here and it's WORSE than ever.

"I don't mean for verifying your Dyson hoover meet" two different brands by the ways ! Hoover

I literally mean a process of a human authenticating they are real. The green flag is NOT enough AND VERY cleary / easy to fake.

I wanted to get peoples thought's with the words; time waster, fake and cat fish now being more spoken about here than fun or good fuck

NB: Sorry if a thread exists like this or is in the wrong section.

I can tell you don't like the current system OP, but you haven't really set out your case very well.

You haven't, for instance, set out exactly what you feel is wrong with it.

Where is your evudence that it is easy to fake a verification? - surely if it really was that easy, we'd all be doing it.

Everyone on here is real. Fab doesn't use sex bots. (Fake female profiles to entice men in- usually used on dating sites.)

It's an adult site. If people need a website to baby sit them they are not mature enough to be having sex.

At the end of the day if people don't want to believe someone is real then that's down to them.

I've taken part in I don't know how many photo challenges and had meets etc and still get people not believing I'm really so changing the system would do nothing

To be fair. All of mine are in that period as I re-joined during lockdown so they were old ones from over the past few years. Unfair to presume that really.

They probably say that so you will meet them or send more pics to 'prove' you exist.

It doesn't work with me, had someone wanting me to snap them to prove I was real. Just kills the desire for me no matter how attracted I am.

I can see this has divided opinion's.

I am more interested in having more authentic people...

Rather than having to make chicken salad our of chicken shit.

I have spent more time asking for proof of life - like a bloody terrorist - than I have asking for real life fun

Through choice we refuse to show verifications from others or friends or give them.

To us what happens between us and others stays that way and we don't need to show the who, when, how and why. All that is missing is a trip advisor star review.

This means some people don't talk to us, others block us but that is their choice.

We are verified by photo but know there are many, many fakes on here and would welcome a better system.

I think the site has updated it's registration procedure. A friend of mine tried registering a new account and photo verification was a pre-requisite to joining. That wasn't the case when I joined, I don't think. I think photo verification was an option.

Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Maybe split the cam veris from in person veris (Green cam icon?) Would show those who meet clearer from those who prefer to use chat, and expectations can be adjusted accordingly?

Also - how about the colour of the tick (or cam) changing from green to amber to red after a period of time - Say green when you get a fresh veri, after 3(or 6?) months it goes amber, after a year it goes red. Shows how active you are? You wouldn't have to display any details if you didn't want to?

I think it’s random.

When I first joined 3 years ago I had to do that, but when I joined this time it didn’t actually ask for photo verification, but I did it myself a few days after joining.

I posted this on another thread regarding a similar issue:

The problem isn't the price, its the people abusing the site.

Prolific thefts of other users photos, internet and social media photos passed off as someones own images/videos, is one of the issues that seems to crop up.

Then the reoccuring profiles that pop up, that troll, use and abuse users of the site and so on, are another issue.

The fake profiles set up by one person that verify their other fake accounts is another problem.

I have read on other forum posts about video verification being an option to join the site. If it was to be done each time site supporter was renewed, it would drastically reduce the timewasters, fakes and the more genuine people would have no problem with it, as they would have nothing to hide.

A private verification video showing clear face shots and writing the time, date, username, site name and verification code, would take five minutes.

Not only would users be supporting the site, they would be making it safer and more secure as well.

Do you think this would work?

It's not that hard to ask people to show themselves on cam is it. If they don't want to it doesn't prove they're fake but you're at least able to make an informed decison about whether he/she/they are what they claim to be and whether to bother with them or not.

The best verifications of all are the ones you do for yourself, according to your own criteria!

You have not actually set out what you would do as an alternative OP.

Every system will have flaws that can easily be got round if somebody really wanted to.

The simple solution is to set you own verification rules and process. We have a system that has so far ed out the fakes and time wasters everytime so that when we have arranged a meet we are confident they will turn up.

Create your own rules and learn and adapt as you continue. For a free to use site, which means that we all benefit from higher numbers of potential partners to meet, there are going to be limits on the investment in staff and systems that could restrict people much further.

If you can't devise processed yourself to help you to evaluate the suitability of others, you'd probably be better just using clubs. Many people have highly unrealistic expectations but ignore that and blame the site. All whilst we've only been permitted to meet for a couple of weeks
