Thumbs up/down feature

We all know that no reply normally means not interested, but we prefer to say no thanks as at least people then know where they stand. Also having to keep a list of all the no replies is a bit of a pain, and people you say no thanks to don’t do this and contact you again.

Our idea is to have a thumbs up / down system, when someone views your profile they can thumbs up or thumbs down your profile. If you send them a message then they can apply the thumbs up / down when viewing the message, thumbs down could prompt to delete message and return to inbox. Therefore you get the feedback, particularly the negatives one, without anyone needing to spend time sending a response. Thumbs could be displayed on each profile you view.

Ideally need 5 states, Thumbs up (definitely interested), Slight thumbs up (interested subject to seeing face pics), neutral (no opinion given), Slight thumbs down (not a match for what we want, but may be an attraction), Thumbs down (not for us).

Warnings could be added when trying to message thumbs down people.

Finally to help the site make money from implementing this feature have a subscription option to remove thumbs down people from searches / meets. This would save lots of time looking through profiles where you or them have already said no thanks.

We think this would be a big improvement to Fab but would like to know what others think.

Nice idea but I don't think they will make it happen. There is the private note option. When I message some body and got deleted or no reply I just put a note on the profile as DNR ( did not reply ). I never message that person again

A simple click with a "No Thanks" reply button under reply to message perhaps. This would maybe satisfy a lot of people who keep complaining about not receiving messages back. Would take seconds and save people typing out replies. Just a thought.

Maybe if peeps read profiles fully before deciding to message then they'd have more replies.. We'll reply to all that seem to have read ours , but why should we reply when they've not bothered to read our profile?
