Can't see my own status!

I don't appear to be able to see my own status updates on the 'local updates' list. My account preferences look like they allow me to view such info. It would be nice to be able to see them, as confirmation that others can see them. Is this normal?

You won't be able to see your own but everyone else will see it on their local updates,and so will those you have as friends and those who have you on their hotlist

If you look at your own profile you can check its on there if you need confirmation
