Site security - 2FA and verification photos

A few questions for site managers really. Given the sensitive nature of the site contents and the importance of network security, I’ve a few questions:

1. The use of multi factor authentication (2FA for instance) is now routinely used on many sites, so I was wondering whether there are plans to implement this on fab in the near future. I cant quite see a plausible reason why this wouldn’t be implemented, but would be interested to know about any plans.

2. Ages ago when I originally joined fab we had to pose with a piece of paper with username and show face on it. Given the trouble most users go to to remain anonymous, and the prevalence of hacking nowadays, I am wondering if there is a stash of our photos on a server somewhere, that is not really necessary to be kept? Do these serve any purpose after a period of time, or are they just a risk to anonymity/privacy?

3. In uploading photos to fab, does the upload process strip out any metadata from the images? Or does this need to be done prior to uploading?

I appreciate that anyone can just leave if they are concerned about this stuff, but I’ve been puzzled over these tems and wondered if there is a helpful comment from the site managers? Thanks.

I'm not affiliated with the site in any way so this is just useless conjecture and my opinion

1. Mrs and I really don't want to share our phone number with fab - something much more personally searchable if the database was ever hijacked. Optional 2FA would be reasonable though.

2. Would certainly hope that deleted photos are fully deleted!

3. I'm pretty paranoid about security and have safety checked our photos in the past - they look like they are re-encoded and saved without any of the original metadata.

In answer to 2) my veri photo is still in my "Manage Photos" section. So not deleted. Mine was fairly recent though.

I noticed that if you delete a verification photo, your verification will disappear.

For 2FA - I would love to see this on the site. There are many options to set this without sharing a phone number. Ex: google authenticator
