Forum Bans !!

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

wonder if it would be possible for you to mail people with the postings that broke the rules in the first place ?

along with the email telling them they have been banned .

I have had a few forum bans most i do know the reason why but other times ive been left scratching my head as to the reasons why and i really do think its unfair to have a ban and never really know why so would this be possible at all

It does yes....it gives you the reason and the time it will be for.

I think Nawty is asking for the actual offending post to added to it too.

yes you get a basic explination but once or twice now ive not fully understood what it was for so i think if they copied and pasted the forum post that your were banned for would explain more .. all too often the posts are deleted and if you want to read back on what was actually said you cant so you have no proof to back up ur claims

But Admin can see the posts, so if your ban is unjust they will overturn it and give the mod feedback

I am not sure if your question is achievable but I am sure Admin will answer if they think it is.

Think thats is a very valid point.

You should be told the exact reason of the ban, especially if it was hours after you posted the offending post in the first place.

Your never going to know why, unless you needlessly have to ask admin the reason, before you can at least object to the ban.

Sounds like being told of fas a kid but not what for. I can see your point if you know what you did exactly you wouldn't do it again and its difficult to see why its not done that way if admin want to stop you repeat offending.

From that reason I am guessing Admin expect people to figure out which post/ posts was the cause of the ban and if you know a post or posts of yours has been removed, then I am guessing theres the reason.

Difficult if I comment on a forum post then go to work, by the time I get home, I can't remember what I have posted on and if its a long thread, I would just skim it and could easily miss what I posted

well as i know its against forums rules not to discuss forum bans i was given an explination for my last ban i did think its was an unfair one when there were several other people posting the same comments ans me yet the didnt get banned .

Here is Admins answer on bans and what happens once you use the CONTACT button.

*****The forum mods are all volunteers.

Mistakes and mistjudgements occasionally do happen. We do ask that forum ban complaints are directed to us via the CONATCT link.

If you contact us about a forum timeout we will look into it. If you don't hear back from us you can assume we think the timeout is fair .

If you treat the forums as a bit of fun, you won't go far wrong and you're really unlikely to have any problems.

Closing this now, any specific mod issues feel free to contact us directly.

Admin x*****

Do what Admin ask and query your ban with them, and not on the forums please.
