So for the bulk of the site users I’m sure this isn’t an issue. However the Male, Female, TV/TS I find difficult to select my label.

Obviously you can’t put every option on but I’d like a bit more separation maybe offer non-binary, TV, TS.

Trans gender questioning and gender queer are a large range of people who I feel need more options.

A TS woman is a very different person to the guy who wears his wife’s tights when she’s out but are lumped in the same group label.

Anyway thanks for reading my wonderings

I have always been most curious as to why tv and ts are lumped together as i thought they were vastly different things. People will roll their eyes if we get a list of gender identities but it is just the reality of modern life.

Yes I see the practicality of having 10 different genders to pick from as being too hard, equally the TV/TS is too big a lump

We need more choices, there are FTM trans and MTF trans, none binary and non conforming, CD are not the same as TV or TS.

For those that are confused CD wear panties soemtimes and no make up, transvestites dress fully part time and make up, TS are generally on hormones and live 24/7 as chosen gender.

Also there is no choice for either member of a TV/TS couple let alone when we both are.

I think your description of a CD is applicable to male pantie wearers which are a sort of "lower tier" CD. I consider myself an (occasional) CD and I will dress fully including make up.

I think that strictly, a CD IS a TV (trans = other, vestite = clothes). TS is definitely different to CD/TV.

Think you are right about the inflexibility of the available gender type labels. Because I identify as male I am excluded by those who do not want to be approached by single guys which is fine. However it also means those who don't like guys but do like CDs/TVs will probably miss me. I get around this my having a twin account where I identify as a TS/TV and pont to my main account.

Labels are unhelpful on some levels and there is no ideal system that works for all scenarios.

Yes no label if system works in it’s entirety, if I self identify as a frog we probably not need a ‘label for that.

It also makes searching for people harder maybe.

I’d also agree that CD and TV are the same but at different degrees. Maybe you get I’m a level 3 TV and someone else is a level 11 TV !

I’d like to see TV and TS split and the addition of gender non binary / non conforming

I’ve got the correct profile for who I am. I steered well clear if the TV/TS option because of the wrong kind of attention it gets.

You’re a woman, why wouldn’t you select that.

Basically I dress as a woman for me and as part of my gender expression not for any sexual kick.

Many on here dress as or for a sexual kick and good for them, it’s not me. As you say being lumped in one group isn’t for everyone.

Discussed at great length over the years, especially related to the trans label.

People can add any fine personal details that they wish to, in their profile. There are many valid reasons for people in this what's desinated a legally protected characteristic, to not be forced to disclose more than they are comfortable to do. Typically very highly personal details can be difficult for many to disclose, which may relate to psychological distress, medical interventions that don't work out in the way that people wanted them to do, or where there is perceived pressure from others, as inferior, not doing the right things etc, are some facets that affect people very profoundly and when typically the means of achievement to just be our natural selves isn't entirely within our hands.

It's a very complex matter.

It's really good to search and read the many detailed reasons given in the hundreds of threads here.

I expect you are very happy in your gender from birth and have never questioned why you’re male or female. Imagine questioning why was I born into a male body everyday and how that might make you feel. Then lump that group of people in with someone who occasionally wears their wife’s knickers and say they are the same group

I think in the ould days on websites it was a case of being binary with kink added. You could be either M or F. In today's rapidly changing world it became M, F or 'Other'. I think when Fab started the Tv/Ts option it was akin to 'Other'. We now live in a world where there is any permutation of gender possible, and none, but the reality is that the world operates and acts binary as a majority.

How you view yourself is not Fabs responsibility to provide, I believe, if you identify outside of what options they've given, considering the small scale operation that it is as a website. We'd all love every option possible to us in life, but websites are not here to provide anyone's life with all of its options, and it is with no disrespect to anyone who may fall outside the limited gender range that Fab provides. It is what it is.

There are other websites out there that provide more options.
