Been fabbing for 12 years, but deleted my profile for a short while, but now that I've came back, I am trying to reach out to old friends and contacts I used to meet/speak to regularly. However some of them have over time changed filters since we first met etc, and I'm unable to contact them now. I tried re-verifying some of them just to draw attention to my new profile so they know it's me as I know they'd get in touch then, but it doesn't seem to be sending the verifications?

Is there a reason for this?

And I think that verifications do not go through if you're outside their filters ...

Seems a bit odd you can't verify people you've met because they've changed their general filters!

Due to covid 19 and the site policy of not supporting meets in person during lock down know one can send any verifications of meeting people. I think you can only send a verification that stipulates that you had a cam session together due to social distancing.

That's not correct , you can see from people's profiles that they've received "meet" verifications during lockdown , they just can't display it .

Can't change someone else's filter. Besides, that filter could be as simple as "pictures on profile". Did you check you're still within age range?

And verifications won't get through to them if any filter applies to you x

Some might consider it an abuse OP to use a verification of someone else to enable you to draw attention to yourself outside of their filters. A verfication is meant to be saying something helpful about and for the recipient which is not your objective.
