Request a user to photo verify

We've come across a few profiles lately that we're just not quite sure on. They seem great, but they have been on fab a while (one was over a year) and not even a photo verification. Funnily enough, once we request they photo verify on here we never hear from them again.

To make Fab safer for everyone can we not all have to photo verify to join, or maybe have an option to request a profile be required to photo verify (like a report,butmaybe not so 'formal')?

Maybe compulsory photo verification would put people off joining?. Wouldn't be here if it was the case.

If people don't want to do as you asked it doesn't mean they are fake, they just want to exercise their right to not do what you want them too

It's not about them not doing what we want, but protecting fabbers from fakes and making the whole experience of fab more positive.

Unfortunately that doesn't stop those with fake verifications from other people. If you could filter them separately from each other that would be great.

You'd like to think it would be harder to create fake accounts. A few simple things to look for in pictures to give a good indication.

I can definitely see what the OP is suggesting, as the profile still wouldn’t have to actually show the picture but it would atleast suggest that it is more likely to be a real profile

Problem is I have a photo I also have one verification but I'm still not getting any joy on here for some strange reason. I know obviously things are difficult with the virus etc and people not wanting to talk or not wanting to me I get that but when you're genuine single guy in his 40s and live alone not bad shape from the age of guess you'd expect a little bit more interaction especially if you make the effort to contact the individual rather than being just ignored hello sometimes or just a conversation is quite nice

I would say that the only issue you will have is the sheer volume of men that are on the site when it comes to male-female ratios.

Always try to be polite and creative with your messages to make them stand out above the rest
