Has there been an actual increase in site traffic following the media mentions during court case of a site member who had shared an exs photo without permission... Weirdly he received a fine that was relatively small opposed to the same court awarding custodial sentence to others. The chap in question is a police officer. Could this have made the court's leniency?

Menston near Ilkley

He will also lose his job, which is important to remember. Plus possibly his pension.

From experience: Mentions in the news, unless it's front page news, makes close to zero difference to site traffic or users joining.

The repercussions for the police officer will be much more than the court

Central

Sentences reflect all of the circumstances, some of which we will guess at. It's a tragic story, with no winner. Unfortunately the media coverage puts attention on to his wife, when she's already suffered. He could come and do some of his community work for me, but I'd not let him take many pics.
