Fabswingers are putting screenshots of the hottest 3 cams on the mobile home page of non-site supporting males only.

Is this true - feels a little intrusive to me as the people involved have no choice

Surely everyone has a choice if they go on cam or not ? I know I make a conscious decision when I turn mine on .....

I make a conscious decision to show my live cam to the people WITHIN the room. Fab give me the option to only allow the people in the room to watch which I choose to do. Therefore I’m in (some) control of who is viewing my cam which influences how I behave. But images of my show that I think is only limited to the people in the room, (remembering I’ve been able to choose this) are being flashed up to 1000’s of male profiles who haven’t even paid driving them into the rooms to be entitled and demanding, ruining it for those same females.

I have not consented to this.

I read the t&cs. I invite anyone who did read the t&c’s before they used the chatrooms to tell me that they were aware this could happen to images of their live show they aren’t even aware are being captured...

if I don’t know this is happening before I turn my cam on how am I consenting to it?

you know someone can click on your cam, then go to another room and continue to watch dont you ?

I still maintain the decision is ,do i broadcast or not, if i do broadcast, that is my decision to potentially share my cam feed with anyone on the site

I’d hope not if I’ve selected the option that only people who are in the same room are allowed to view me. Please explain what is the point of this opt out if that is not the case?

The option for cams on the privacy setting page states that you can stop people who enter the room in "View only mode" from seeing your cam. As it stands only site supporters can enter a chat room in view only mode.

Users can click on a cam in one room and then jump to another room and still have the cam visible. The same goes if the user on cam jumps room. The cam is still shown to all who clicked it in the previous room. That has always been how chat has worked. There has never been an option to only allow viewers who are in the same room as yourself.

‘Chat: In chat, site supporters can enter full rooms (only) in view-only mode. If they view your cam, you won't see that in the room list. You can opt out of this so your cam will be hidden from these users.’

Surely someone who isn’t in the room anymore IS in view-only mode? Regardless of whether it’s because the room is full or they’ve come in and left. This specifically states I can opt out of this so my cam is hidden from view only. It is worded so you believe you are choosing to stop people viewing your cam that you can’t see are watching you. Clearly this is not the case.

It does not in anyway indicate I’ve given my consent for images of my live cam show to be sent to 1000’s of males.

It no longer shows this we made a change last week so only a heavily blurred image is shown.

As always we’d advise if you’re ever worried about showing something online... don’t show it. Someone in the room could be recording your cam/screenshot it etc

Ditto with any other sort of content posted
