Is it a good idea?

I think someone should set up a webcam verification room for newbies to find other members to verify them like a request verification room, just to help them along the site. It’s hard being a newbie with 0 verifications especially in this pandemic, who’s with me

But you can get verified by cam already... In fact during the pandemic the only verifications you can display are cam verifications

I wouldn't judge a guy positively on a webcam veri as I'd be inclined to think he's into virtual wanking

Of course you can the feature is there to do it. What I mean is a to have a group/forum dedicated to older users verifying new users to give them more of a chance on the site as normally those with no verifications find it difficult to navigate on here

To turn that around though - if you can't meet then why does a verification of any sort matter?

And what you're suggesting exists already with the existing chat/cam rooms - or are you suggesting a room specifically for verifications where users queue up to appear on cam where someone who is verified goes through each and verifies them? Which kind of undermines the idea of a verification and would end up being not a great deal more than a photo verification, possibly less so too.

It's easy enough to go into the chat rooms and say hello and ask if anyone would mind verifying you as genuine, etc

We can’t meet yet those verifications can be used when we are allowed to . And yeah I’m suggesting a room specifically for verification for new members by older ones, kind of confused how it’s undermine anything?

With one hundred and sixty verifications you may have a different view from someone with 0 or 1. People rarely talk to newbies in my experience

I'm not sure verifications are all that tbh. Take yours OP what does it tell about you? In all honesty, nothing other than you can use a cam. I'd much rather chat n get to know a person, verification or not than rely on someone else's opinion.

As others have said and you probably realise yourself, it's already possible to get verified by camming.

Personally I think a dedicated room could throw up problems. I'm not sure many other members would want to sit patiently just verifying people.

I'll move this to site feedback though

And that’s ok, mine doesn’t say much about me because there’s only 1. I mean feel free to get to know me. unfortunately a majority of users on here don’t conversate with users with no verifications making it harder for newbies.

Again I know it’s possible to get verified camming, i think loads of members are happy to cam and verify, the room would be optional too so if you don’t want to do it don’t lol, what’s the harm?

Because essentially a queuing system where you open a webcam chat - the verified person goes "yes you're you" and leaves a verification would in effect be not much different from a photo verification and no more than a rubber stamp, rather than being something given having spent a little time chatting to a person and deciding to verify them off the back of that.

It's not the fact that someone is verified it's what the verfication says that makes someone potentially of interest to me. The site has already seen a photo to create a photo verification. I completely understand the desire to be verified but I have met unverified women after making my own mind up based on correspondence and other due diligence.

I think your bigging up the issue in your head, chances are of you have 0 verifications or 10 or 100 your still likely to get the same number of responses and people ignoring messages, the simple factbis for a single male on here most of your messages will go unresponded to whatever your verifications because there are so many more of you than women... Its not ideal for you but it is what it is an extra verification saying I saw him in a chat room would not sway 99% of people viewing your profile any more than a photo verification would

I don't take any notice of cam verifications , I find them meaningless . A fab member was verified using my pics on their profile...

But my initial thought on a profile that only has cam veries is that they're probably time wasters/dreamers and unlikely to meet.

However I don't think the lack of verification on newbies reflect badly considering the current situation

I would agree but to leave a verification, even a webcam one, the user has to be within my present filters or I usually add them to my friends so that the verification will actually save.

That makes my friends only section useless, removes the message filter for all these newbies, & I don't want webcam veris. I'm not sure the site is really set up for your idea to work

Who are these webcam verifiers? Open to abuse and predatory members who can influence the new members.

I personally can not see a benefit in any Tom Dick or Harry verifying other members. Leave it as it is, that is what they are paid to do
