I would love to leave comments under pictures but do it so they are monitored just in case they are horrible comments

That is the the main issue with comments on pictures there are horrible people out there that just want to be nasty.

So it probably is best the keep it as it is

I think you'd get too many gross/creepy/abusive comments which would stop people uploading pictures.
