This website blocks links in messages to its own forum!!!

What exactly is the point in that????

Are you talking about other forum posts? It shouldn't do and doesn't when I do it, try deleting your history.

I believe this is an antispam measure which blocks web addresses in the first few (1 or more) messages you send to each user.

You can then reply with link

Otherwise classed as an unsolicited link and blocked
