Photo Verification Mandatory for pic uploading/verified status

I can't see the problem in "forcing" to photo verify before uploading any pictures (reducing picture stealing, fake profiles) or get the verified flag. It wouldn't stop the "best" fake profiles but surely would cut 90+% of the fake new single female bisexual profiles that show up everyday and get verified streaming videos on webcam and so on.

It doesn't affect your privacy( Only admin/mod will see it, YOU DON'T NEED TO SHOW YOUR FACE).

It takes no longer than 5 minutes to take the picture and upload it (verified over 5 minutes of effort is still easier than getting verified on a meet)

Also improving the photo verification adding random factors, so lets say there would be 10-20 random requests added to photo verification that would make it certain that the profile had a couple/female etc behind it (wouldn't stop all fakes but would greatly stop most single men making single female profiles with the intent of checking other couples/females private pictures)

The idea is, Instead of in our case, lets say, "holding a piece of paper saying fabswingers.com bo peep and woody" would add a random factor like "hold a piece of paper saying fabswingers.com bo peed and woody in one hand" AND do a "thumbs down" with the other hand.

That would greatly reduce the photoshop factor or faking photo verifications and would add value to a verification flag, because the way it works right now all you have to do it create a second profile and verify it with your first one.

Just a idea...

You seem to be confusing the 2 verification processes.

The photo verification process involves only the Site Admin, so there's no way to fake it by creating a 2nd profile. Also, remember that in order to artificially verify a fake profile, you have to get that 2nd fake profile verified 1st!

Its only 1 verification process but with a random personalized request into it.

Right now all you need is to google "woman holding paper" on images write your name on that paper with photoshop and you're done. with that extra "random" factor would be harder to fake a pic verification.

About the 2nd profiles, you currently can use your real/genuine profile to verify your fake one. There is plenty of single males(and couples) on the site that make a female profile, use it to check other females/couple pictures with friend invites and with the added bonus of verifying their original profile with that single fem profile.

Punishing people that verify fake profiles should be a reality, most times those are actually the ones that create them on the first place.

There are ways around IP Bans but if something stops 50% of the abusers should always be there. I've seen websites that successfully ban you even if you change your IP(Hostname ban) (Banning this for example: cpc10-ipsw2-2-0-cust125.8-4.cable.virginmedia.com) making the only way around being VPS's which most people have no clue what it it.

never use the word forcing ot forced.

that is bullying or a you must do this or else attitude.

no one like being forced to do anything against their will.

i understand your feelings but people should be free to do as they feel is right for them.

if you do not like the fact someone isnt verified then look for others that are.

Just search for, speak to, message those that are pic verified.

That way you have the same end result as your suggestion

Not quite, as that would only show up the people who have the green flag yet may not have any other pictures up...therefore they could still be subject to having faked their initial photo that got them the green flag, but havn't been caught out as they havn't tried to upload any other phots that would then in turn have shown that the original was a fake as they wouldn't have matched.

Or something. Maybe

That is true but the owners of the website let you join! The choice of who joins the website, how it is run and what verification systems are use are TOTALLY the website owner choice.

A good website owners will take on board what it's members (paid or un-paid) want from the site. But they have to weigh up if the changes are worth the effort and would give the required results.

Faking a image is pointless and easy to spot! Just ask them to verify on cam, if they say no move on. You could also verify them by phone, if they say they are a couple but only the man will speak, again block them and move to other genuine profiles.

We have been on this site for several years and hve had only a couple of people who cancelled at the last minute, we normally give them another chance if the cancel again we block them.

We have built up our own methods of how we choose someone and reduce the likelyhood of them being fake, but NO system is fool proof, but not to worry there are lots of genuine people on here.

Using filters and gut instinct for the rest is a good option.

Report anyone who you think is fake, even if you are wrong Admin are happy to check them all out to out any fakes.

Im not wishing people to be "FORCED" to verify themselves.

I just wish the green flag had some meaning because right now i could make 10 profiles of different sexes and ages and get them all verified within 30 minutes (all of them with photo verification/webcam verification and meeting in person verification)

The website is just (in my opinion) making it to easy to get verified by not monitoring multiple usernames on same IP (not disallowing it, but should at least compare them and check verifications between them), by not punishing who verifies fake profiles ( remove them the right to verify profiles at least??) and by making photo verification a 5 seconds of photoshop job.

It isn't as easy as you make out.

I doubt Admin are going to give out their insider knowledge to how they deal with things......but I think you are under estimating what Admin actually do to combat people who give fake veri's and who try to verify themselves.

As I say, they also rely on other members reporting people who give out fake veri's so they can stamp it out as much as they can.
