Has anyone noticed quite recently that there seem to be quite a large number females joining the site (I might add they are usually photo verified so ARE genuine females) but whom are advertising to visit them on other sites just so they can scrape ya hard earned cash off you and hoax you into subscribing to their pages (various sites including ones that start with "ONLY" and ends with "Fans", and also another that starts with "Admire" and ends with "Me"). I feel theres a greater need for Fabs to take a stern approach to this and make it quite clear what their stance on this practice is. I will assume that their stance is that they do not condone this happening and should bloody hope that reports of accounts doing this are taken seriously because quite frankly guys, this is downright bloody annoying when you come across a woman on the site who is just trying to swindle cash out of you - not that I have any cash anyway lol. Seriously, You'd have better luck squeezing blood out of a stone!

We have reported a good number recently, mostly using exactly the same wording on each profile they start, but often putting the location as different ones ! dont think its possible really to stop them

Things like this can or cant be stopped depending on whether these profiles are human or spam (ie automated). Its harder for human created profiles as obviously theres an actual person who has created that profile - only way to combat that is to ensure the sites T&C's are adhered to and if not get booted off site. As for spam accounts and this does happen here is to perhaps use strong human verification methods albeit not even this is infallible. There is one other alternative - the amount of profiles you come across that dont have much to them and are not even photo verified even after over a year of being active. I think Fabs should now add a clause to their T&C's that if an account is not verified by photo with a set amount of time of being created then the account will be removed under the assumption that it is spam.

Always report, admin take a dim view of this.

The best advice I can give is to never give anyone money whatever they want it for and be very wary of anyone wanting to immediately take the conversation away from fab.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
