Can we have the option to stop people from sending us a friend invite.

Until after we have messaged them or replied to a message from them.

It could be a check box to allow unsolicited friend invites of not

"Use your filters.."

I can't find a filter for.

Only allow friend invite if we have messaged them.

There sadly isn't a filter for that although it would amazing if there was! If you have "looking for" set, age, sex etc then anyone outside of that can't send them, but it doesn't stop everyone else

It's a good idea. It would allow our preferences of what we do and don't accept to be supported by site features.

I used to get a lot on an old couple profile. Just ignore them then delete all in one click. Notifications can be turned off.

Club Meets Only

It would be a great feature although these random friends requests act similar to a filter, anyone sending one is already in my 'not interested' list

They can, after several months has passed.

Drives me mad!

They can after 4 weeks.

The friend request issue has been brought up soo many times and nothing is done about it. Seems the onus is on the receiver to just ignore the requests as thats all you can do.

I’d like something like this as well, at the moment I delete them all but it’s pretty annoying. There’s one guy who’s sent me a request and a wink every single week for months, except when my profile was hidden. He’s never messaged me or had any kind of interaction with me, just a weekly friend request you could set your watch by. I know everyone will say “block him” but it seems like a small thing to block someone over, I usually save that for people who are abusive or inappropriate. It’s like having a bit of grit in your shoe though!

If you don't delete the friends request, he can't send another for a set amount of time.

He can't be winking you weekly though, as winks can only be sent to the same person once every 28 days.

I would block him too.

agree with tick box option as for some its their preference for first attempt at contact with someone, saves typing a long detailed message for it to get instantly deleated where as a simple click of friend request if accepted then ensures a better chance its worth time sending a message

I just never look at my friend requests. Solves the problem. If I want to be friends. I send one.

Could we do this for winks too

I find them totally pointless and would like the option to turn them off

Personally i never look at my friend requests or winks ever lol. Then again i'm pretty bad at checking my messages too these days, i only tend to come on here now for the forums.

just ignore your friend requests it's easy once you're in the habit of not checking them xx

Same here. It even says on our profile not to send an FR unless we've met.

And yet they keep coming in....
