can we have meets and events back please?

Fab have been responsible during a national lockdown, but it's not up to them to police each regions lockdown and those not in the high Tiers are missing out..

Pal, the 7 day infection rate in North Yorkshire is 172 per 100,000. At less than this rate, my town was placed in hyperlocal lockdown, all hospitality venues shut except takeaways. No mixing between households has been allowed here since God knows when. How the heck N.Yorks isn't at least tier 2, we don't know, but consistency isn't the forte of this Govt.

Ah, update. I was misinformed and York IS tier 2. Which means the following rules on mixing indoors:

You must not mix socially with people you don't live with, in any indoor setting - whether at home or, for example, a pub or restaurant - unless they are part of your support or childcare bubble.

There are exceptions, eg if your household or support bubble is larger than six, or if someone enters your house to carry out work, registered childcare or care for a vulnerable person.

You may continue to mix with people outdoors (including in a garden or a park) but you must not meet in a group more than six, and you must follow social distancing rules.

Meeting in larger groups is against the law, and you can be fined up to £6,400.

Perhaps, OP, you'd like to reconsider the social event you are advertising in a York pub on your status?
