Good day. Hope you are all well.

We are quite new here and I (M) often browse the forum but have little input. However, I have noticed many threads regarding fake profiles, age old photos and ones uploaded from the internet.

I’m no photographer (as you can clearly see) or computer whizz but I thought all digital photos contained “metadata” recording The time, date and camera on which photos are taken. A quick interweb search tells me there are programs out there you can download to find such data on photos.

So, my question is, do admin use such information when approving or rejecting user uploads? If not, why not? Surely doing so would eliminate internet copies, and user verification photos taken 20 years ago.

They have guidance of how to spot fake pics/ check for internet pics etc. Having said that, if people find a pic on the internet it doesn't always mean it is fake, they could have pics on many sites. There wouldn't be 20 year PV pics on profiles

If you see any profiles that you think are fake always report and it will be looked at
