There was an app, if I remember correctly a while back, I remember having the fab icon on my phone, think it just took you to mobile site though.

Apple no longer permits adult themed app's anymore, so iPhone users wouldn't be able to install an app.

Too simple.

Still waiting for an answer to my question.

Previously its been mentioned that FAB sex and nudity content would not be allowed by apple and would be an issue for Google too.

I'm a member of a fetish site and their app frequently says 'visit website to view this content' in some profiles.

I have a link on my home screen to the mobile version of FAB and it works just fine.

Could they not host the download via the website, then it downloads straight to your phone, no need to go through Apple or Google?

You can sideload apps on Android but not possible to do it on an apple device without jailbreaking your device.

I agree, I’d really like Fabs to create an app!

In simple terms, that’s just a link to the Website on your device ‘desk top’.

If you have an iPhone, in Safari, click the share website button, scroll down and click “Add to Home Screen” - this will add an app icon that will take you directly to the website

There is a significant cost that comes with developing native mobile apps. You will also need to factor in the time it will take convert fabs to an API only application, create a native iOS and Android app.

But the bigger issue here is, that Apple and Google simply do not allow adult related apps on their platform.

One simple response to this. Cost.

The expense involved in creating, supporting and moderating it alone would require a subscription service and/or advertisements. The thing so many of us LOVE about the Fab platform is that for the most part it's free and for the few extras we get it's cheap. I'd hate for this site to turn into one of those like so many of its competitors.

The website does it's job, it does however need some improvements. If that was done I think more people would care less about an app and be happy with things as they are.

"Please create an app :D"

An app icon is just a shortcut to a mobile version of a website. Really you are on a mobile version of the website already.

The "app" icon can be added to you phone by following the instructions listed on the site

You think this site doesn’t make money ??

I work in the industry and believe me you’d be amazed..

A small rent to an offshore server farm and moderation dine on a voluntary basis ..

How many subscribers every month?

Probably registered offshore too so low tax ..

If you were to create a app you would have to make a android and ios version for apple, both very different to program. Also adult apps aren't allowed on the app stores.

I didn't say I don't think it makes money, I said it would cost. As someone also in the sector I'm well aware of it. Also, no experienced moderator would work on a project that big for free especially with some of the content they'd be at risk of seeing via uploaded images and offsite links.
