Club review

I've been reading a lot of Club review lately and have noticed that several of the avoid comment seem to be left by people that have since left the site, in some cases I believe people have opened accounts purely to leave a bad review then instantly left the site.

My point is should peoples reviews be deleted as they leave the site?

Should unverified members be allowed to leave reviews?

It's all gone stupid, one clubs review page has now become a personal battleground for people who like or dislike a particular member.

They should all be taken off!

You need to be either verified genuine or photo-verified and have been a member for over 10 days to add a club review.

That's good to know but it still spoils it for others who genuinely want to use the club guide

Agrees there in total - Just read two club reviews of a club we go to (err too much sighs) and one review clear stated that he is going back to another club, as that was loads better. Sorry isnt that just bashing a club for another...especially as that evening there were no 3 d*unk men banging about in that club as were there (yes I know we go to much)

I had a thought - all club reviews should (similar to profile verifications) be "pending" in the club owner's page till approved. We all know of "reviews" left by people who have never been to the venue purely for the purpose of negative reputation.

Great idea ! The club this guy was bashing is a nice one and know it well; and when u look at the reviews strangely 97% are great. So doesn't that already show that the writer or writers have bad intentions ? It same with naming and shaming people... they might have said dont like you and they go and scream that you are time wasters and none performers... 2 sides to a coin but in case of clubs it means visitors lost or not

O o O oo

Report the profile of the person leaving a post that isn't a review. Include the club they have "reviewed" and it gets looked at.

a lot of the time the person leaving negative feedback leaves the site straight away. I believe the reviews they leave should disappearing the account. Leaving it for club owners to accept reviews wouldn't work because like profiles only good ones would get posted. Negative feedback is ok providing it is backed up and justified Xx

The post can still be reported though. and although reviews are not normally taken off wether they are good or bad.....if it isn't a review it will be taken off.

But what about if it is a genuine review about a bad experience at a club or about a club?if a club owner can choose to only post positive reviews, which then really it is pointless as people are not getting a balanced view of things. What I think should be looked at is when the majority of reviews left are just glowing reviews all written by staff and people associated with that club

I agree that any personal battle reviews should be removed.

Perhaps it would help if review had to include certain details... i.e when you went, how many were there, why it was good/bad and what you would like to see done to improve the situation.

A case in point is someone came to an advertised Tgirl eve at our local club and then left a review saying the club was rubbish and full of tv's. not really a review, more a homophobic remark and dispite reporting it, it still remains as a review

I'm not criticising the Mods in any way. It is a thankless task they have.

Just some more stringent guidelines to reviews are possibly needed

It is all constructive....people I am guessing will know that some things get missed by mods.

I don't think letting club owners approve reviews is a good idea lets face it the point of reviews is to get an honest opinion of the venues. But I do feel you should be restricted how often you can view a club in a 30 day period that way the tit for tat reviewing will stop and reviews deleted by admin cant be re-posted 10 mins later to be taken down again.Plus some clubs are reviewed on both a Friday and Saturday night every weekend by the same cpls who are regulars this is not giving no honest over view of the club to ppl who have never attended.

The other thing that really cheeses us off is people leaving messages about up coming events at a club just so it shows as new review!

Don't mean to sound negative, but think the club review system could do with an overhaul. A level of aggregated star system like ebay. As well as the reviews would be nice... dunno how else to make it better thou....
