Different highlighting for mail from friends

Is there any chance whereby mail from friends could be given priority, a different mailbox, or at least a different colour highlight?

I’ve had a few female friends openly say They’ve deleted their mailbox and missed messages rather than trawling through their mailbox to find the ones from people they know.
