Hi just been on the website looking at the facts page and was just wondering what the reason was that you can't park next to your tent ?especially that there is no electric, lots of people including myself use there car as part or their camping set up ie charging phones, keeping valuables safe and dry storage. Every other camp site I have ever been to allows parking 1 car next to tent.

New tent arrived today after getting our 8 year one out of the shed last week to find it full of mould and 3 of the poles had shattered!

So with the weather picking up we are going to break it's 'virginity' somewhere this weekend so we know how to get it 'erect' at swingfields

This is for fire safety also gives us more space for tents, you can still go to your car, it's just in the parking area, this worked great last year and stopped people getting blocked in.

Also if you go to Glastonbury or festival like that you park in the parking not by your tent!!

We will be sending a list of don't forget a...but tent, sleeping stuff, clothes (optional), cash,wash bag, towels, we have food vendors on site but you can bring your own or buy, and luxury toilets and showers.

When was the last time a car caught fire ?.. lol also having been there last year there was plenty of room for a car next to everyone's tent as people don't pitch tents end on end as they like to leave a gap it would be a big conviniance to have your car next to your tent and I am sure most or your customers would agree

Glad to hear that one detail didn't spoil you're weekend. Tbh if we had infinite space then parking by tents may be a possibility, but working with the land we have, sadly it's not this year.

It didn't however we have splashed out on a generator £400 now just got to make a sound proof box for it lol

We have just got a cheap little generator to use. Did think about a sound proof box for it but it would have to be so big so that it didn't over heat. Does anyone know if there are drinking water taps there so we can top up our can?

A car may not catch fire but a tent could. We need adequate space for emergency vehicles to attend if needed. Parking is allocated not too far away from the camping. We have everyones safety in mind and hope that most people will understand this.

I thought the prices last year were very reasonable! You are right, I was expecting to be ripped off, but we really weren't. Hopefully it's the same this year

The only "dress code" is no nakedness from waist down in main arena , otherwise its down to you but the ladies generally prefer men who dress well and smell great x everybody will be given an entertainment programme on arrival xxx
