Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'll be turning fifty in April so I'm inviting you to join me on 9th May to celebrate before it all sags, cracks and crumbles.

Jaydees have kindly agreed to host this shindig on 9th May.

I am still contemplating the theme, although there are strong proponents for 1950s (mainly Hottie Bottie as she has seen a dress she wants to get).

I'm giving early notice so that you can get your ducks in a row (the typo on that might also be true) and book a room at the local hotels.

So far people are booking into the Prem Inn (the one with this postcode PE19 8EN).

There is a Travelodge and another Prem in the area too.

Add your names here and I will put up a list from the first thread and update it on an irregular basis.

Come and have fun, come for the craic, come for the cake.

I am tempted by Swinging Sixties as the range of clothes is wider. I just have to decide how ridiculous I will look as a short, fat, old person in 50s clothes.

I am tempted by Swinging Sixties as the range of clothes is wider. I just have to decide how ridiculous I will look as a short, fat, old person in 50s clothes.

Sixties fashion is fabulous too ~ from the Mary Quant era of mini skirts to the late sixties hippy chick. Lots of hairstyles to choose from which will suit all types of hair & easy make up ~ sorted

Fitting my boobs into things is an issue. I'm going to a local fifties couturier next weekend to have a look at their sales items. If they think my boobs can fit in something then we'll go for a Flirty Fifties theme.

I'm back. I'm looking at frocks tomorrow and then letting you know whether to go 1950s.
