THREAD 6........ 1 week to go before THE biggest Lifestyle event of the year.

THE LAST Few tickets,so grab your festival ticket now, 1,2 or 3 day tickets available.

The festival will be held 4,5,6th July 2014 in the South West. limited single guys allowed. (Maximum 10% of total)

This year sees the addition of hot tubs , a fetish arena, roman tent, jungle fever zone,live workshops, bands and a night time laser and light DJ set to party into the late hours. Loads more is being announced so grab your tickets and join THE festival of the summer, dedicated to true lifestylers. For those who didn't come to SWINGFIELDS 1, then read some of the reviews in the CLUB section for a "flavour", but 2014 will be blasting the bar a lot higher !!

we are now being joined by dancers who have featured on TV, club DJ with Pacha and ministry of sound experience, real ale bar, cafe, pizza oven, toilets and showers,bands, full entertainment programme etc etc.

UNIQUE jungle fever play zone, fetish area, photographer, body sculptor, massage, roman zone, bi play area, couples only, plus 5 other themed zones.....plus lots more !!!!

What the hell do we wear? Not a lot I think. It better be warm.

One tent for us and we are bringing a lot of bedding to create one reasonably sized sleeping/playing area.

In the guest list thread I've suggested that those of us travelling a long way and so setting off early with plenty of time in case of hold ups (traffic not 10 denier) might like to have somewhere we can congregate and go to the loo and maybe grab an early lunch.

I'm happy to arrange this and will locate either w pub or cafe with a decent sized Car park.

We've got a campervan and an awning that attaches to it, appreciate the 1 ticket 1 tent thing, is this ok? (Both together take up the same space as a medium tent)

For those who didn't get the message...

”THE FINAL COUNTDOWN”

Today we launch the “final countdown” to this years event, one that promises something for everybody. This email will clarify a number of questions that have come up as well as a little helpful “checklist”

Q & A

I have purchased a wristband for the hot tubs, how much can I use the tubs ?

Our festival Insurance requires us to adhere to the National health and safety guidelines of no more than 30 minutes at a time. We ask that you shower before using the tubs and respect that others will be using them as well. No food or drink is allowed in the tubs and they will be open from 12 noon until 21.00 hours to allow us time to ensure they remain clean and warm. Please note that wristbands are unique to the individual and anybody found attempting to use the tubs without having an appropriate wristband will be asked to leave.

What food do I need to bring ?

We will have a small onsite shop selling milk, eggs, bacon etc for those wishing to self cater, or you can bring your own. There are on site very well priced food outlets and a cafe, fresh made pizzas, coffee bar, sandwiches, breakfasts etc etc. ONLY food purchased inside the arena to be consumed in the arena area.

What drink can I bring ?

You are welcome to bring your own drinks, we simply ask that only drink purchased INSIDE the main arena is consumed in the arena area. This is to ensure we meet our licence requirements AND that no glass is being used where others may be walking.

Are there washing & toilet facilities ?

We have increased the numbers of both toilets AND showers on site this year, they will be regularly cleaned throughout the festival but PLEASE try and leave them as you would wish to find them. There will be certain times that they will be busy, and if there is any issue with water needing topping up etc please let one of the team know.

Can we park next to our tents ?

No. This year we have organised parking marshalls to help you locate your tents. Camper vans etc will form one edge of the camping arena area, and the marshalls will guide those with tents to where you can drop off your stuff. We then ask that before unpacking you take your car to the designated parking area.

We have booked a 1 or 2 day ticket is that ok ?

Yes, this year we have a lot of guests joining us with shorter stay tickets due to work, family or other commitments. When all vehicles arrive you will be issued with a colour badge to display in your vehicle windscreen. This will confirm which day you are due to leave. Failure to display your badge will result in vehicles being removed.

Can we use generators and is there any electric supply ?

Generators can be used up until midnight, and there are one or two power sockets for EMERGENCY phone charging only. One of the stalls is providing ladies with a location for hair straiteners and hair dryers.

We have a campervan, can we dispose of chemical waste ?

No. This is a working farm site and registered as an “organic location” so there must be NO disposal onsite. We have increased toilets and showers so you only need use those onboard late at night to ensure this will not be an issue.

I am happy to volunteer to help what do I need to do ?

We will have a few shifts for parking marshalls , bar shifts and security, if you wish to help simply go to www.sf2014helpers.eventbrite.co.uk and book a helpers registration ticket then come see us at the hospitality tent to book shifts etc .

Is there a local cashpoint ?

The nearest one we are aware of is 5+ miles away, so try and bring enough cash with you. HOWEVER, we have an ability using your internet access onsite to go to www.sfpayments.eventbrite.co.uk and you can access wither online payments for photography, body sculpting or cashback, there is a small fee for this facility. It will then come through online to us so we can confirm receipt in a matter of seconds.

Are cameras allowed ?

Cameras/camera phones are NOT allowed in the main festival area and the security team will confiscate any being used for the rest of your stay if you are found using them. There is the onsite professional photographer, so feel free to ask him if you want any particular pictures taken.

If we get lost is there a contact number ?

Yes, we have a dedicated number onsite 07582 384397 from Friday morning, please note this phone can only receive calls.

What time can we arrive ?

Strictly not before 12.00 noon on Friday 4th July, gates will open at noon, there really is no reason to rush as we have plenty of room. We ask you do NOT arrive to wait as the lane leading to the site will quickly become congested.

We look forward to seeing you all for “Swingfields 2014” , if we all work together then whatever issues arise (which they are bound to ) we can all work together to ensure quick solutions, and many happy memories. We look forward to seeing you all.

PLEASE NOTE – THE DIRECTIONS AND LOCATION WILL BE EMAILED OUT BY WEDNESDAY EARLY AFTERNOON TO ALL TICKET HOLDERS.

So excited to be coming for the weekend. It was a close call with Rosie being in hospital until this morning but now she's home and a weekend of fun and frolics is just what she needs to aid her recovery.

Yes thanks , just found it there , bloody typical lol , every email we've had off them for 8 months has gone straight to my inbox , then the reply from them about location and the location itself went to junk folder .

If you have internet access on your phone some of the stalls will be taking online payments.

I suspect not for incidental amounts (ie a burger). The advice is to bring cash.

A couple of concerns we have regarding the weather.. the email info said we have to drop everything at the pitch and move the car to the parking area straight away, 1. what if it's chucking it down? 2. we need the 12v supply in the car to blow up the airbed..

Actually scrap no2, I guess I can blow up the bed in the parking area and carry to the tent.

That was one hell of a weekend at Swingfields !! We also had a great time. Good beers, excellent music, lovely sexy people.

Only downside was a 6KVA industrial generator blasting away just 5 metres from our caravan. It ran for 15 hours a day and was noisy as hell. Seems one of the guests towed it in on a trailer to provide power for a few mates!!

Would love to attend next year but will keep an eye open for noisy generators. This was a bl++dy selfish act and several other guests were moaning about the constant noise. Must have been massive vibrators to need 6KVA!!!!

Again, many thanks to the organisers. It was our first time and look forward to the next one.

It will be more tightly policed next year as it's unfair on others, we slept in an old caravan with no electric, no gas , no water and amazingly we survived !!! torch, jerry can, camping hand heating pads ..... It is after all a festival lol and we will look again at the alternatives but there are something's that are simply impractical ..... I'll look to see if hook ups and generators are available at Glastonbury .....
