"Happy to announce we have change the description for this event. So come join us for an exciting new night. For some reason, society tries to define human perfection. We say "Fuck that!" Every one of us has unique qualities that make us who we are - something we feel self-conscious about. We feel that this should not get in the way of anyone's fun, so this event is designed to embrace everyone, celebrating the beauty of individuality in our already welcoming and inclusive space. We often receive messages from people who are interested in exploring the lifestyle but worry they might not "fit in" for various reasons. If that sounds familiar, know that you're not alone - we hear it all the time! That’s why we’ve created this event, specifically for those who want to feel truly accepted. If you've been looking for a space where you can feel comfortable, included, free to be yourself, boost confidence in yourself and those around you, Xtasia in general is the place to be, but this event is specifically for you. Everyone is welcome!" Where's the Heart emoji! ![]()

"Wondering if I've got this wrong and given Tabby N Ian an impossible task? Open for debate on this, as very interested in what people think? Are we all that perfect? Taking the obvious line from the OP, "We'd love to try swinging, but feel we may be too ......." Old Young Quiet Full on Crazy Vanilla Kinky Ordinary Plain Large Tall Short Thin Wobbly Toned Big Small Scarred Hairy Disabled Introverted Shy Nervous Fearful Apprehensive Antisocial Outgoing Chatty .... wow, list never ends. We all fit in somewhere! This event isn't about making an issue of any of the above, its about you fitting in with us all. " We agreed to come to this event AFTER the original wording was changed due to feedback given to Ian and Tabs. If the original wording of the event description had not been changed, we wouldn't have considered attending. Firstly, there is absolutely no need to provide a list of what people may feel insecure about, almost like telling them they should feel insecure about those things. This also implies that people may not be welcome at other events at Xtasia, which is totally not the case. The switched focus to boosting confidence was a great move, that I fully support. Secondly, this list you provided includes "disabled". That word covers a very large range of conditions, however, those with mobility issues seeing this and not knowing the layout of the club will be in for a shock. There are parts of the club I don't go to because the stairs to access those areas suck, and that's after I've carried my partners walker up and down stairs to access the main club area. Add to this, no disabled toilets, and the venue isn't as inclusive as this massive list is trying to make out, despite the event doing the absolute best it can not listing things people may be insecure about.

"Yea, we had a massive debate about this last night as hosts team. We accept the club isn't perfect for some disabilities, and have a pretty good description on line of what can and can't be offered on our FAQ page, which outlines stairs and toilets issue amongst others. Our aim is to be as inclusive as we possibly can within the constraints of an old building, and the original aim of this event still stands, to give people encouragement to try a club, regardless of any worries they may have. If anyone has ideas that the club may benefit from, please send them to us on a Private Message and we'll do our best to take them on board. " I'm happy for everything I'm going to say being out in public. We do love coming to Xtasia despite the logistical challenges of the old building, and we work around those in the best way we can, in part by avoiding going down to the blue dungeon, or up to the dogging area. Those stairs are bad, but there is enough going on in other areas, we don't feel like we miss out. One of the main reasons I love Xtasia is the atmosphere, and how inclusive everyone is at every event. I do like the idea of this event helping to boost confidence, and I'm looking forward to it, but the original description made me feel like we wouldn't have been welcome despite knowing otherwise. Listing things that people might be insecure about adds to that feeling that those are things I should be insecure about, yet my wobbly bits have been out at every event I've been to, and that's already added to my confidence.

"single males allowed?" Sorry no, Saturday night main events are always couples and ladies only. Plenty of choice on Friday nights, just search the forum for "_tasia" to see them all. ![]()
