We lost count of the number of times guys just grabbed him, (it was always the much older guys) which made us not want to play in the open spaces/group rooms. We did have some fun in the private rooms, and the steam room/hot tub were lovely, but lack of manners from the older guys kind of killed the vibe for us  | |||

It’s not, nor has it ever been a swingers club. The place has been going for many many and owes its success to those men and the gay community that have supported and consistently paid to visit. It’s their space, always has been, always will be. Only in the last few years were women allowed in a few nights a year and the only reason it’s open until 1am (when it normally closes at 8pm) is because they can cash in on curious couples that want to know what goes on in one of the UK’s biggest and most modern gay saunas. I wouldn’t dream of going to a swingers club and complaining there were too many women or too many swingers, even on a night that might have a “Gay Theme” to it. I’m merely a guest in a venue that caters for a different sexuality to my own. If I don’t like it, then I just leave. There are a million and one swingers and couples places all over the UK, but exclusively gay spaces for this kind of thing are a little harder to find. To those unhappy with the clientele, just count yourselves lucky that you get to experience what the rest of us have all year round and what we’ve made successful as gay and bi men in our local community. Northwich hasn’t always been so easy for gay people and we’re proud of what we have on our doorstep. " I don't think it's the amount of men in there on these bi nights, I've been twice on regular days and 3 times now on bi nights. I think and is that there was a fair few straight single guys in there who made it obvious they were straight. Think that's what most us bi noticed. Just our thoughts. If staying with guests list I'd and probably others would like to see some kind of vetting. Also I did notice quite a few getting in who were not on the list or wasn't asked. " it’s not the men, most of us go for bi and gay men otherwise it’s just an Alchamy night, me personall am a sim a customer on normal gay and bi male only days so we appreciate it. "I’m inclined to agree with the majority of the posts here. I’ve been going to SaunaSauna for many years and have seen 3 different owners. I’ve been to nearly all of the bi events and a number of Alchemy events and also visit other Swinging clubs. For what it’s worth, this is my view: • It’s a gay sauna event, not a swinging event • A lot of the single guys are gay men who want to play with men only, not women • Some of the single guys are bi and happy to play with both • Some of the single guys are straight and only want to play with women So, best approach is if you have a certain type of play in mind, make sure your choice of partner is into the same thing, this applies to MF couples, Singles, TV’s, etc. The concept of none bi, or limited bi play from singles guys engaging with MF couples is not new and not limited to SaunaSauna. It happens at swinging clubs that have specific bi events as I hear this complaint from couples on a regular basis. If you’re a MF couple and want bi MMF play, make that clear. It’s not enough to assume that the person you choose to play with is into the same things as you, and if we’re being honest, that applies to all types of play. Making your boundaries and expectations known means that it’s clear and if someone steps beyond those they can be challenged. As far as the behaviour of the single males is concerned, it isn’t always the best and the fact there isn’t a lot of monitoring by the venue doesn’t help. However, as this event has evolved over time, I do not see it changing much. If someone behaves in a bad way, report them to reception, multiple times if necessary. If the venue chooses to do nothing, then you then have to decide if you want to continue to attend the venue and event. Onto the positives, this is the most open minded and free event that you will come across in the mixed lifestyles of swinging and bi/gay events. What I noticed on Friday was a lot of closed doors, so lots of private play taking place, more open play in the larger room, a lot of socialising in the bar. I noticed male partners in MF couples making underwear choices they maybe would not feel comfortable doing in a typical swinging event! The event is in some ways a victim of its own success, word has got around there’s a place you can pay £18 with no ID, no membership and you might get to have some fun… I don’t think the guest list option is going to work as it will be too difficult to identify those genuinely bi curious guys from the straight guys, in doing so, it has already resulted in bi guys being turned away. You also have to ask, as an open-minded event for all, is it right to be turning people away purely based on their sexuality. Poor behaviour yes, sexuality…. " Our only complaint about the evening was that a lot of the older guys "assumed consent". With all the posters around reiterating the importance of asking before you touch, we just weren't expecting it. It seemed to be some weird double standard as it was only a problem for the Mr. A glancing touch trying to get someones attention is one thing, but shoving your fingers so far into someones ass crack thay are in danger of getting an atomic wedgie as they are just casually walking by is quite another! And it wasn't a one time thing 🙄 We are both Bi, have attend lots of queer events, and are regulars in our local gay bars/clubs. This is not a "bless their hearts, they don't have a clue" situation. This is a "other people's shitty behaviour made us feel uncomfortable" situation. To the people moaning about all the locked doors, and lack of couples in group spaces, this is probably why. I had a situation towards the end of the night at the last event I attended where I was chatting to a couple near the glory hole area and the woman suggested I gave a guy chatting to them a bj and he gave a pretty aggressive reply back making it very clear he was straight. I think that she realised and that's why she pushed him over it. The security guy was there at the time and nothing was said which did surprise me. The couple went into the larger gh room and a couple of the guys in that groups said that they would not risk it in case it was a man sucking and not the woman of the couple. Certainly not what I'd expect from a Bi event. My swing partner if she was to go would expect to watch guys playing first which then gets her in the mood to play. No play with her otherwise. | |||
