On the basis of not really knowing what decision will or will not be made this week, we have decided to host an event that can't be cancelled.
Xtasia will for one night only be known as Barnard Castle, to allow you to travel to us from where ever you are, regardless of any restrictions.
We are hosting a Cheese and Wine business meeting, on the basis that you all have something you can chat about with others. It is business, even though we'll all be standing around drinking wine and chatting bollocks with each other, and if anyone ever asks, we'll say you only popped in for 20 minutes, so can't really hold you to account over it ok.
For example, I need a plumber. John our plumbers mate is looking for a quality pipe supplier, I gather Leon plays with pipes, so will introduce them. Leon's wife, Emily who likes wine, also is an accountant, and wishes to offer her bountiful services to as many members as she can. Networking has never been so much fun!
To ensure no one thinks this is a piss take, we are doing a cheese platter on arrival, along with a choice of red, white, rose wine, and asking everyone to pop on a label, advertising their job roles. No point networking if you don't know who with.
Due to our strict rules on mobiles and laptops, if you need to make notes, please use the cards provided on the tables around the venue. At least we made the effort to provide something business like!
Its also someone's birthday, so there will be cake as well....not a leaving party!
