"FINALLY!!!!! We MAY be able to claim from our insurance now!" I am sure the PM said on Tuesday that they had been speaking to insurers and they had promised to pay out even though the PM had only advised people to stay away

"FINALLY!!!!! We MAY be able to claim from our insurance now! I am sure the PM said on Tuesday that they had been speaking to insurers and they had promised to pay out even though the PM had only advised people to stay away" Our insurer, as expected, is trying to wangle out of it through 'wording' on the policy. This may now help our cause

"What about hotels they have bars and resturants" I didn’t see the detail but don’t recall seeing specific mention of hotels. If a hotel has a bar or restaurant then they will be included in the closure order

Or self assessment when I think it’s £94 a week .. really depends on the set up .

"I went for a swim tonight at the Abbey pool in Cambridge and the four of us were told at 7.30pm to leave. A sad surreal moment and odd because I had heard that the virus is not passed through water especially where it has been treated with a chlorine based chemical. Can anyone shed any light on why this has happened? I can only think it's because the building also contains a gym. Why not just close the gym then? H " Because when you get out of the chlorinated water you’ll go to the changing rooms where the blokes coughing .... along with everyone else ...

"I wasn't that close to anyone in the unisex changing rooms and no-one was coughing. Just very subdued.Remember we need to keep physically fit to boost our immune systems. " And if someone had come close? ... you could step away into someone else’s space.... absolutely exercise is great and crack of dawn you can be out walking or maybe do some exercise following one of the guys on’t tinternet... I understand you like your swim it’s a big deal for you, but, there are loads of options for exercise.

"Fair enough. Walking or cycling for me for the time being. Come the summer presuming this drags on till then there may be a chance for open water skinny dipping on a remote beach." Absolutely, why not, that’s the spirit x

"What about hotels they have bars and resturants Would have to close them, I wonder if we will go down the Spain route and shut hotels x" There's probably little need to order hotels to be closed, as most in the industry have been working on drastically reduced occupancy levels over the past 4-6 weeks. The hotel I work at has had only 4% occupancy across each week, in past 3 weeks. Our corporate business ceased 3 weeks ago. The Spanish hotels scenario was far different; they were full of tourists from the UK & elsewhere, whereas the UK hotels wouldn't be the same. I know of really large Hotels near to Heathrow airport, those with 600+ rooms, which have not achieved 10% occupancy each week this month. Already, 1 million hotel and Hospitality jobs have ceased in recent weeks.
