"Ever tried a new club and wanted to just leave again without breaking stride? We tried a new one last night as we had free childcare and it's cheap to get in... Somewhere we thought we shouldn't judge despite the rumours we'd heard... But went in early to look around and just yuck. Poorly built seems to be the thing that gets us most. There can be tacky decorations on the walls etc, no biggy, but when the walls are just rough painted brick, or single sheets of ply, poorly finished... Really puts us off immediately. Nice enough dance floor area tbh, but outside of that, just unpleasant and so unlikely to ever go back. Really makes you appreciate the good parts of the clubs you do like. Although we then realise we see Chameleons through rise tinted glasses, as it's certainly it perfect either. But wow, compared to the Attic it's an absolute palace! " I am one person to whom the fabric of the club is as important as the facilities and the fun. If the club is poorly presented, it doesn`t matter how much effort has gone into cleaning the place, it can still look bad. "You can`t polish a turd" as the saying goes. I once saw a comment on here once that the dungeon in one certain club "smelt damp but the that`s probably how a dungeon should smell". SHOULD smell? Never! If it smells damp the it IS damp and that damp could be hold all sorts of nasties, and that in a room where people could be using equipment to draw blood abrade skin! | |||
