Bathing suits not allowed in hottubs

Ok so this is really bugging me so I wanted to know if other clubs do this.

We've been to 5 different clubs. 4 if which I've used the hottub and always wear a bathing suit because I never go topless. It was never an issue in the other clubs but the one we went to recently kicked me from the hot tub. They told me I can't wear clothes in there. I explained it's a bathing suit (frilly lolita style so doesn't look like a typical bikini) and id showered before going in. Nope. Still not allowed. It's naked or nothing so I got out.

If I'd have seen any sign I'd have stayed out but they didn't have them. Now it's bugging me because she was saying it's not safe for the hot tub. Normal folk wear bathing suits in hottubs? Bathing suits are made for it. I'm so confused.

Do other clubs not allow people in the hottub wearing bathing suits? I'm totally baffled by it.

Do you use soap and detergent to wash your swim stuff?

When you get in a hot tub the remnants of the soap that doesn’t get 100% washed out can come out and cause a scum to build up on the surface. It also affects the chemical levels within the hot tub. Chemicals can be expensive.

No swimsuit no scum and cheaper to run.

Have seen people in jacuzzi at the club we use but, no disrespect to you, it looks out of place when everyone is naked. However I've never seen anyone get told they couldn't wear something in there. It's your choice and you should be allowed to wear a bikini if you wish

I think that’s the rule at only one of the clubs we’ve visited. Maybe some rules seem strange, but at the end of the day we usually side with the club owner lol. Try talking to the owner for the reason, might put your mind at rest.

We’ve done that a couple of times on other issues where something has not seemed logical, and there’s usually a fairly believable explanation.

Sorry but I'm with fistloving.

Detergents in washing powders are very strong.

When the hottub pumps run under pressure any amount of detergent is amplified causing bubbles and foam which when settles leaves a scum floating on the surface and reduces filter life. That's why they ask users not to use oils and other cleansers on your body.

I'm sure you you found scum floating in a club hottub you wouldn't want to use it and probably complain to staff that the tub is discussing and unclean

Just to get this clear I have no I have no issue following their rules, just wanted to know other clubs that don't allow bathing suits.

Maybe could have been avoided if they had a sign so I didn't need to be called out in a crowd.

The club we go to has a no costume rule in hottub and pool.

However it is clearly signed stating no clothing.

We allow people in with swimwear if they wish but 99% of people go nakie. We ask EVERYBODY regardless of what they do and don't wear to jump in the shower before entering as products on the skin and detergents play havoc with the chemicals. We have to change the tub all the time anyway, but we at least want to get to the end of the night without that stinging eye feeling which doesn't come from chlorine, but actually from the products on your body mixing with the chlorine.

I've been in a good few hot tubs in places other than swinging clubs, mostly where bathing suits are actually compulsory, & I have never noticed any issues with scum/foam.

But can the clients shower in their swimsuit thereby rinsing chemicals off their body as well as out of the suit?

Totally up to the club I just wish they'd had a sign or something. This club seems to be anti clothing anyway so luckily it's not out local/regular.

Probably won’t clean most of the soap/detergent/oils out.

Clubs have there rules we was just explaining potential reasons.

As someone else has said at leisure centres and spas swimming costumes are compulsory in hot tubs.

I think if they're not allowed that's up to the club but make it clear so that a guest doesn't feel embarrassed when you ask them to get out of the hot tub in front of everyone else.

I’d feel uncomfortable being naked whilst you’ve got a swimsuit on, you can oogle others but they can’t oogle you! I would think you were weird getting in a swingers hot tub with a bathing suit and it probably makes other people uncomfortable too, strange behaviour!

Another reason may be the bacteria that actually can build up under your costume, while in the hot tub, even if showered before and after. The bacteria results in cold sore blisters all over the area covered but concentrated on the hot moist bits. Google it for the name etc Nasty things!

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

Not sure why people aren't naming venues. Surely that would help people to compare experiences etc. Anyway... A couple of years ago some friends and I went to Eurekas. A friend got told to remove herself from the hot tub immediately for wearing a swimming costume. Yet moments later the same guy didn't bat an eyelid as he walked past a MMMF situation in the tub. I think I am right in recollecting that there were NO signs referring to nudity/clothing in tubs yet there was a sign indicating no sexual activity permitted in the tubs. Totally back to to front with the rule enforcement.

Not the sole purpose and at no time did I intimate it was, but we are there to relax, check people out and play. If peeps can’t get there kit off at a swingers club, maybe they should go elsewhere

"Ok so this is really bugging me so I wanted to know if other clubs do this.

So does perfume, after shave, deodorant, body sweat and whatever is left between your legs from an earlier fuck!!!!!!!

That’s why clubs ask you to shower before getting in the hot tubs

We've been to several clubs (Townhouse included) where we've seen people in swim wear in the hot tub. On our first few club visits, Steph chose to wear a bikini as she didn't feel confident enough to bare all. Climbing in and out of a tub is never the most elegant of moves at the best of times

It's odd that the club in question didn't want to support the OP in dressing in a way that mad her feel comfortable. I thought that's the overriding principle of good clubs?

How about all the naked people who feel uncomfortable having someone wearing swim wear in with them?

Admittedly, we haven’t been to many clubs, but I would have thought it would be a given that you go naked in hot tubs.

For the people saying I need to get naked let me just explain one thing...

YOU HAVE ZERO RIGHTS TO SEE ANYONE NAKED!

It's a swinger's club FFS not a nudest camp. I dress down like everyone else, I wear pretty lingerie and always dress to impress. I just refuse to remove my bra. Some people hide behind a towel. Some people wonder around butt naked.

For the guy who said I can't look at others if they can't look at me naked what logic is that in the swinging scene. Does that mean people who play in private rooms can't watch others?

It's my body and my choice.

Oh and as for not belonging in a club if I can't get naked....

I'm never naked at a club yet we've participated in orgies in clubs, had an entire room full of people just watching us, played with many others at clubs and made great friends.

We always have an amazing time at our regular clubs and my clothing has never been an issue. I'm perfectly fine going to clubs thank you and townhouse comments on here just prove il be welcome in my non-naked state when we visit.

Shangri-la

If the club have a policy that swimwear isn't to be worn in the hot tub they should have signs up making it clear. They certainly should have shown you respect & discretion and not embarrassed you publicly.

Not necessarily?

Especially as you're not meant to actually "play" in the club hot tubs I've been to.

Indeed. We’ve seen the signs, although some people don’t seem to be able to read, nor understand that by going naked in hot tub doesn’t mean you’re open for sex to anyone or everyone.

OP: if the club hasn’t made it clear about their policy on wearing swimsuits in hot tubs, then they are at fault and shouldn’t embarrass you. Perhaps in future ask about their policy when going to a new club.

"I’d feel uncomfortable being naked whilst you’ve got a swimsuit on"

Exactly this. And Exactly the same as I felt being naked at a Naturist club that had fully clothed people wandering around in it.

Sometimes those rules apply to protect the feelings of other members.
