Just had an email saying Kestrels will be clothing optional on daytime a Saturday and sexy lingerie daytime on a Sunday.

What are the usual rules?! I'm going on Saturday night with a female friend and assumed you'd go dressed and then grab a towel when you're using the facilities. After that, do you have to get dressed again? Can you walk round naked? Is there a god? Who's your favourite Spice Girl?

I went to the old kestrels on two occasions with two different women and I’m a guy and there was lots of blokes walking around wanking and being pests and chancers that made me feel uncomfortable so no doubt it would make me feel worst if I was a woman - just my experience that’s all

I don't really see the issue if some people want to wear clothes and others don't. The place is massive so there is plenty of room for all. I don't see much difference between wearing a towel or some underwear.

Before ever going to a club I always assumed it would be the Ken and Barbies who would be eager to get their kit off and the ordinary people who would be self conscious and not the other way around.

As an older!!! Attendee I feel like we are no longer welcome....a naturist spa is exactly that naturist why would a young person be ashamed of their body and want to cover it up...get out your arses and look at people in a different light....your no better than anybody else that goes there

Unplanned, I once ended up staying on from a Kestrels day, to an AbFabs evening event. I didn't therefore have clothes, didn't care, walked around naked but I was made to feel humiliated and unwelcome by the pretty, attractive people. I think it was around the time there was trouble between the two elements with the 'pretties' calling the Kestrels women 'the hippo club'

My understanding was that the "hippo club" was a group of ladies who bore the title with much honour and pride. I think they even had their own mugs. They were part of the scene which made others less self conscious in turn. I'm very saddened to hear that. It is the last club I would expect to hear of bodyshaming.

I used to attend the old club as a size 32, I now attend the new one as a size 16. I have never been made to feel ashamed of my body by the members or the staff, in fact, quite the opposite. I’ve never been a pure naturist so the idea of a bit of sexy lingerie during the day would actually appeal to me. I hope the attitudes in this forum remain in the forum because I love this club and feel very welcome there.

I wish people would just accept others for who they are. Civility is free and that’s not just one of Corbyn’s giveaways. If not interested in playing or socialising then a polite refusal is all it takes. I did hope that the cliquey nature of kestrels 1.0 was eliminated in 2.0 and to date haven’t seen it appear. Here’s hoping??

My mistaken loyalty has been kicked in my face.

Along with others who had the same idea as me. Ie support (by paying the high entry price) the club and watch it grow i now feel totally fucked over.

Apparently they want a younger crowd attending....so much so that they are changing the rules to allow younger women to attend a naturist club wearing clothes.

Please tell me i have misunderstood if i have and please if its not true lets have the official version on here for all to see.'

No mate. Lots have gone, see various posts above in this thread. The one i replied to just now, was quoted from the other thread where i posted regarding how a few people that have attended since the start have mentioned how they were happy to attend during the start up period to enable the club to amass funds for improvement then one lady pointed out that my (and others) loyalties were misplaced as its a business and should have been fully finished before opening.

Then this post appeared and someone said the reason was due to thier large group of youngsters complaining about having to be naked during thier visit to the naturist club heathrow kestrels.

Apologies I thought you may have confused the two posts as they both started at a similar time.I posted on the other thread that I have attended just the once in July but it would be difficult for me to attend regular as from my front door in North London to Kestrels front door takes 2 and a half hours by train , tube and bus.It’s a naturists spa so no you shouldn’t have to cover up during the day but at night when it becomes AbFabs perhaps if going upstairs to the cinema or lounge area maybe should at least have some underwear on

Agreed. I've suffered the same experience, and not just here, either. No one should have to be body-shamed, especially people like ourselves who like to be naked at clubs where it's allowed - same as no one should have to be body-shamed because of their size etc. "Live and let live.." - now, what happened to that old addage?

Being a member of the old and new club kestrels never bothered me. Had a towel or dressing gown. It’s a naturist spa so naked is fine, towel if your shy or dressing gowns never been an issue.

Plus I enjoy being the whale in the pool

Personally I feel more comfortable in lingerie than naked, I wouldn't have seen it as much of a problem if people are able to choose what they feel most comfortable in. Obviously if it's purely naturist and no clothes are allowed, that's fine, but I do find lingerie or boxers much more sexy than a towel.

I fear allowing lingerie will create a move towards the "body beautiful" group who eye critically those of us who like to be naked and who are not likely to be tapped on the shoulders to be models (as appeared in another Kestrels thread). I accept some people wear towels and dressing gowns but this is a nod to comfort rather than trying to look good. I think female friends who I took to the old Kestrels would have been reluctant to return if they had been surrounded by female peacocks in lingerie.

If indeed it is true.

At first it sounds bad,but it appears to only affect saturday and sunday and i guess it helps on a saturday because people can now go naked, (where it was clothed before), also some ladies that are self critical of thier own bodies may feel more comfortable in lingerie.

(I know naturism is the cure for this but in fairness that can be found at a proper naturist club), so it may well be a shrewd move and not due to pressure from the mythical large group of young ladies like they previously claimed.

I don't know. I've been to a lot of clubs and seen a lot of beautiful naked women but haven't once seen anyone with anything downstairs that haven't seen before.

It's suits me fine if someone thinks 'I'm too young and beautiful to be seen naked by ugly old men' because my attitude is 'You're so far up your own arse that not only do I NOT want to see you naked.... it would be great if I didn't have to look at you at all' but hey it takes all kinds to make the world go round. If there were no peacocks who would we make fun of?

Again

We used to visit Old Kestrels and for us as naturist swingers it ticked the right boxes .

It wasn't a biggie if no-one wanted to play with us as we could sunbathe,swim and wave at the aeroplanes nude .

We were being updated on how they were getting on finding new premises , including appeals for funding ,but appear to have been dropped out of the loop as we were not aware that there is now a new Kestrels.

May go and investigate..

I agree, ive been a member for many years both kesterals and an fabs, going as a single guy, always met friendly people and had a lot of great days and nights there ,socially and play, never come across narrow minded people personally,great well run place all inclusive
