The Attic - from a chams point of view

Not looking to say which is better argument, but curious about trying the Attic club. Can we ask those sexy couple who regularly go to chams give their option on what the Attic is like on one of the busier party nights? Would we enjoy it from perspective of both the club features/layout etc but equally the types of people who go.

Its totally different type of club. The attic for me is much more a party type club...

On a busy party night... it's a very mixed group.. from younger to older.. ( had a couple there that were in their 70s one weekend.

It is a very different atmosphere .. some like it. Some dont .x I enjoy both clubs for different things x

We only went to Chams once and haven't been back since. We've been to the Attic a few times and love it. Once you're up the stairs it's all on one level. There's a massive choice of playrooms, some lockable, some for exhibitionism. It's Trans and single guy friendly. The decor isn't as posh as Chams but it's clean and a great night out.

I used to frequent chameleons as a couple, chameleons its cosy, more sociable layout and the hot tubs are better, i would also say the decor and having couples only on a saturday is a bonus. However now as a single woman i frequent the attic more, it is more like a disco/nightclub with the swinging thrown in, party nights are good.

So it depends what you are wanting really. The other perk for me is it being pretty much 1 floor so not got the stairs congestion of chams x

We like both clubs. They are not a like for like comparison. But for us we prefer the ambiance of Chams and the dress down factor. We like to be relaxed. Of course any state of dress goes in the Attic, which is cool, that what some people prefer and conversely dislike about Chams. But for us we feel more comfortable and open when everyone is dressed down, especially in the play areas. Also we just find the atmosphere in Chams just better for socialising in and little more sexy. And I know opinion is divided but we tend to feel on a whole (because there are bad apples everywhere) at little more secure with the single members at Chams and a little less afflicted by being followed around. Although it happens at both clubs. But both clubs are great. The Attic is a huge venue, with lots of party space. The owner really has a passion for the club and everyone having a good time. I guess the real difference is the difference between ambiance in both clubs and

if you prefer dress down or anything goes.

The attic has a lot of morbidly obese people and TV/TS

If that's your thing you'll be fine

If not, it's slim pickings

As a single guy the attic is a great place. Very relaxed with lots of naughty areas.

But as a couple it never seems as secure as chams. We went our first time and my girlfriend was punched by a protective hubby. Single men were trying to look through the curtain in the glory hole. As we walked past a hubby lashed out and caught Bunny in the face. He then went for me and accused us of spying on them.

We left it a few months and tried again. Have a raunchy moment together in the couples room, all we could hear was a loud woman behind the glass shouting. 'go in fuck her, this is shit. My man could do better. Go on get in there and fuck her' we left a second time. Bunny won't be back again.

This is all a shame because the winer is brilliant, the venue is amazing and most people are friendly, but the big no no. Membership. Its one of few clubs that don't take names and addresses, therefore everyone and anyone comes in, sometimes after a long hot sweaty day on the taxis.

If we were meeting someone specific, this is the place as the rooms are great. But it needs to have memberships and a couple only night.

The Attic occupies about 5 times to total area of chameleons. Chameleons extends over Sevealfloors whereas the attic is mainly the first floor with not too much on the ground floor. The bar at Chameleons certainly isn't a Discotheque whereas the Attic's has a significant dance area. Chameleons has a more upmarket-feel, if accurate about the imagination but into the rooms, the Attic scores higher on imagination, where Chams has a better quality finish to everything. The attic has a tent lit from the outside and a dogging set next to it, so voyeurs & exhibitionists have a choice at the Attic. You can be seen having sex in silhouette in the tent or full-on having sex in a car where everyone can see everything. The best room at Chams is the Couples room, there is a large picture window as a one-way mirror where a lady can go inside with a guy & her husband can watch through the window unseen by those copulating inside. I've had sex many times in the TV lounge at Chams & voyeurs can sit on sofas opposite to see everything close up. The Attic has what it calls Amsterdam rooms, where women wait inside a window & guys can proposition them, then go to the room behind to have sex unseen. Out of 10, I would give Chameleons an 8, the Attic 7. Accommodation at both is basic but the Attic slightly more basic than Chams. Chams do score higher on its staff, good though the Attic is, the team at Chams is superior. The spa at Chams is better but I don't think of a jacuzzi as a great asset to a swingers club. For single men then the Attic wins hands down, it's way less expensive & no membership, which one can't say about Chameleons. Cancer that kills a clubs is a Clique, there probably never be one at the Attic, whereas for years a clique has had control of Chams on Saturdays. I prefer Chams but do not diss the Attic.

Somewhere Only We Know

Chameleons has a more sexual vibe.

As mentioned above, the rooms are all on different levels with a variety of play areas. Ground level bar and seated areas/alcoves are a blessing to relax in before or after exploring and playing.

2nd floor round room, cinema, chill out room and Starlight Lounge are well worth experiencing. Then at the other end there are the private rooms, couples room, viewing alcove and smoking/vaping area and terrace.

3rd level has the gloryholes (our favourite) the dungeons, more private rooms as well with lockable doors and an option to view into the rooms as well.

Good atmosphere most of the time.

The dress down for towels or lingerie seems to work as everyone is of a similar state of dress.

We enjoy our time there and make the most of it when visiting.

Plus points: Relaxed sexual atmosphere, rooms finished and maintained well, polite people and and friendly helpfull staff.

Down side: Towel monkies sat staring and wanking and not even a 'hello' lol. Pricier than some clubs. A bit of a drive for us there and back and the bloody stairs! Lol But all good.

The Attic is huge!

Ground floor has the reception, cinema and jacuzzi.

Upstairs has the Naked Room with adjoining glory holes and viewing window. The Heaven & Hell rooms, a private room with an optional sliding voyeur window, a mirrored room, a private or exhibitionist room with stable door. These rooms are to the right of the stairs.

Walking by the male & female toilets you then enter into the Bedouin area, a curtained alcove. Then on to the right corridor, private room, small dungeon and a dark room.

As you come back out of the corridor, the changing area/lockers are available.

The dancefloor, seated area, poledancing area are well spaced for plenty of partying.

A little further on are a large mirrored room, opposite the dogging area complete with car and a secret viewing place, a picnic bench and tent.

The bar area and sofas are a nice social area to chat and meet.

Along this part of the club there are the couples room with a voyeur room attached. Two private rooms, a school room, a seated social and play room. Opposite those there are two other rooms, one with a voyeur room inside.

The prison cell! Lock 'em up!

Our favourite, the maze, must be experienced at least once. It has gloryholes at the entrance and also in the middle where there is a bed and also a couple of alcoves to lurk in and watch people walk into walls lol

Then there's the Amsterdam Rooms and large dungeo

There's also a couple of feely booths dressed up as turrets.

Plus points: plenty of places to do whatever you want. Always a friendly welcome and staff. Party nights are well atteded. A great club to dip your toe in as a starter. A lot of thought gone into the rooms and areas. Very good pricing on entry.

Downside: When its quiet the dresscode seems to slip. Could do with being a little more select on some of the single men. The rooms could do with losing the drawings/artwork in favour of better colourschemes.

Both clubs offer a lot, both go above and beyond to set out a place for likeminded people to visit and experience.

The only way to know how you feel about the clubs is to visit them and enjoy yourselves

Thanks to everyone who given so much info and detail - we regulars at chams and have also visited Xtasia. We just thought we would try The attic one time, not because we not happy with chams - but just because it fun to explore, but as our nights out are precious we didn’t want to travel over there to find it wasn’t good and was a wasted night.

Attic sounds good - bit concerned about the controls on which single men get in etc, and lack of membership, that helps chams keep the quality of single guys. A free for all is a bit worrying that no consequence to any bad behaviour. We will maybe look out for a party night and give it a try.

I’ve been to the attic a few times. Massive club with lots of different rooms. Nice bar. Dance floor and DJ is fun. And the pole. Not once have I seen a free for all. The staff are friendly and are always about and security. Try for yourself and see. Don’t listen to hear say.

I've had my worst experiences with single guys at chams if I'm honest.. and yes it was dealt with but dont think that membership makes guys behave. In fact I've found the more guys pay to get in .. the bigger the chance of then behaving badly x

We find the staff at The Attic - and there are lots of them - are always looking out for anyone misbehaving. We've seen guys ejected for merely following people, so you should have no worries on that front.
