We are visiting Edinburgh next week and thought we might visit After 8. Admission seems very reasonable but you have to be a member, which is another 20 quid. We need a national scheme like working men's clubs.

Working men’s clubs are bound together by a common rule set or constitution. Swingers clubs are independently owned companies, the owners run them as they like. What motivation is there for them to tie themselves together? Especially if they are close by, they are competing. Some clubs offer discounts for other clubs, but that’s an individual arrangement. LB do for a few clubs abroad.

Around Manchester none of them have membership for couples so if you are visiting the area you are not paying for something you won't use again

Sometimes you might be able to get in as guests, especially if there are some events that are open to non-members

Not all clubs charge a membership...Just choose one that doesn't. There will never be a national scheme within swinging clubs

Don't take up the offer - don't you know it's bad for you?

Personally prefer a private members club that vet, ask for ID and don't allow phones for photos and ban trouble makers

Same. Non-member clubs are too much of a free for all

We are a members club but don't charge for membership. Membership doesn't always equal a fee
