Can i say through this forum i left a very truthful and accurate review on the club. Yes i have been in the club. I left an awful lot out of my review. No running hot water in upstairs toilet and a old electric handwash in downstairs toilet for example.

I was being honest. I have said my opinion and nothing to do with anybody else. I called it how i saw it.

Suspect it would have been more diplomatic to leave the review in “club reviews” and not bring it into general forms.

Leaves a sense of bad taste from my perspective.

The club reviewers section is for genuine honest club goers opinions .

After leaving a review you should NOT be attacked for your opinion.

Reviews are based on atmosphere , cleanliness, facilities , accessibility, safety, location etc..

This particular club in question has no facilities e.g jacuzzi, sauna, hot running water, heating, air con,lockers.

yet still charge the same door entrance prices as clubs in the same town and in fact the North West that have far more facilities.

This place also lacks smoking laws and alcohol laws, entertainment laws.

There are a number of reviewers that echo the same findings as _lubman.

If there was as much effort put into putting things right as there is attacking reviewers maybe the place would improve .

Op you have every right to put your perspective up in the club section, no problem with that.

It is extending the naming and shaming in to the forums I bulked at.

I’m sure naming and shaming is not something Fab encourages, it opens up things for abuse and trolling.

However that is my perspective.

For all I know you could have been thrown out for abusive behaviour and getting your own back.

Every stick has two ends, if what you say is true, the club will be shut down.

How long has it been going?

The clubs been going some years the problem is there was a divide in ownership for those whom know Tony and Shiela the club was good clean had facilities sauna and jacuzzi and kept clean then the present owner gone down and down and down not maintained and numerous different turnover in staff ( that alone speaks volumes) .

It doesn't ammount to trolling when numerous people are saying the same thing it has to be taken on face value.I ask you

Which other club do you pay your hard earned money at the door for the privilege of sitting on the other side of the door drinking the drink you brought with yourself !!in a cigarette smoke filled room ????with no facilities .

The problem is clubs struggle with numbers and attendees in first instance all it takes is one bad visit to a club for first timers and they could be lost to the swinging club scene that's bad for the owners of reputable clubs .

With the onset of free thinking and liberated lives open relationship s and open minds the need for clubs that facilitate will decrease as it becomes more acceptable in everyday life.

Most clubs have the customer care ,sexual health and enjoyment at the very forefront of you the customers requirements so you may revisit and spread word of mouth but it only takes one bad Apple to sour the taste.

That is why it is a problem.

I have never put a review on before for this club. I left things out that i could have included. I fully accept that trolling does happen. If you prefer the dark and seedy then yes this club is for you. All i was hoping for the owner to see was his club needs some investment in the building and more importantly abide by the law. Get the correct licenses in place and get public liability insurance.

Im sure every club has the basics in place. If anybody gets hurt or has a accident in that building they are not insured. I have to say with that stairs carpet and a lady in high heels, it's very possible. I am not bitter to me and in my opinion im being honest with people.

Trolling I think this is ridiculous the very same people attacked me for leaving a very honest genuine review .

Review section is for other club goers to read and form their own opinion as to whether they would like to visit over a number of reviews left.

I personally would like to know if the very basic of requirements are available like hot running water to wash my hands a hand towel, showers that work, shower gel, clean towels,

Toilette roll.If these basics aren't met which they were not on my visit then it's not a good thing.

Club review section also is not for club managers and hosts to review on their own events and affectively thanked them selves for a great night !!

Again if the managers and host spent as much time fixing the plumbing getting the hover out and making good then they probably wouldn't have time to snipe and attack online . Clubman has done the club a great service in pointing out all the faults and lack of licencings and insurance and laws e.g smoking of cigarette s perhaps these have been overlooked by owner manager and host.

Wasn't disagreeing with his review, never been there, I'm mainly a Gatehouse girl, but his club reviews do sound a bit like he has a checklist. Public liability insurance. Check. Right type of pole dancing pole. Check. Tea pots sparkling. Check.

I dont walk around clubs with a clipboard. Due to my line of work i can say licenses and public liability insurance are a must. If any public building has not got them they are simply breaking the law. Im sure if you went to a cafe you would expect a clean cup. Not one with mold in.

In a swingers club you expect a clean environment. You dont want to use a bed full of body fluids from other people. You expect running hot water, to me these are basic requirements. Showers that actually run warm.

Ripped carpet on the stairs are a trip hazard and who would put duck tape on a carpet to cover rips.

Smoking in a public building is definitely against the law and Mr Steptoe is not above the law.

Being offered drugs by the owners Girlfriend fake viagra these are not things a reputable club would do. The owner looked like he was going to a tramps convention and im actually insulting tramps. It was disgusting and should be closed down.

All swingers clubs are private members clubs It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but others love it. Same with empire cinema club. A dive to some people and super hot for others. There are no memberships no personal details taken the entrance door is open to anyone to walk through therfore it is a public building .

Sooooo you trip on ripped carpet and fall down a flight of stairs you take on injureies from the fall, the fall was no fault of your own .

You can't go to work you have no income you can't pay your bills or your rent and you can't claim for damages or compensation etc because guess what they have no insurance or public liability .

There is a big difference between thinking someone is 'full of giggles' and someone is doing things for giggles. Exactly why you are accusing townhouse of the former is beyond me. The club is very inclusive. Stick with what you are comfortable with. Less hissy fit drama that way.

I know the Townhouse well. Always thought of it as inclusive. But to think "man in a dress" comments as funny means they don't understand trans at all. And your "hissy fits" comments verify that. I go to lots of clubs but never heard one that would support transphobic comments as a laugh. OK, I'm touchy, you'd need to live my life to understand, but I'm just staggered the Townhouse would support it. Genuinely.

Clubmans review is a tad more brutal but everything I experienced .

As a single women I like to attend alone to clubs on this occasion and I thank my stars I went with a friend or I would of been extremely intimidated and I am not one to be easily spooked.

Iv said it for a few years now they have to front up as something quite different offering something else other than animosity and a venue to play .

Townhouse has it boxed off has wow factor and curve appeal and a community.

Most miss the mark with low standards and little or no amenities .

We are all entitled to our opinions as long as they are truthful we visited the attic last Saturday and had a great night yet the couple who put a review above ours had an awful night, we didn’t see or experience any of this type of behaviour but doesn’t mean it didn’t happen we are both just writing about our own experiences, I would rather know if a club was that bad before handing over my money but we never look at just one review we look at lots for a club before going

Not always you have to put your health as a huge factor would you want fun on foam covered wooden frame the foam more the issue how much bodily fluids has that sucked up over the years crime scene I'd say accident waiting to happen !!

Been other Manchester area clubs loads and the quality is never that good. Stuck to private select parties ... saves the rif raf and dreamers. ....and the guy with the clip board with no veris.
