As per Subject we are trying to decide on our first ever club visit and considering Le Boudoir and Vanilla Alternative as our first little adventure dipping our toes into this exciting world.

Both of us keen, but very nervous.

We are completely green in the swinging lifestyle, no experience at all. Very happily married.

We are thinking of just playing with each other infront of others and possibly Wifey playing with another attractive lady that is part of a couple or a single female.

Definitely on a no single men night.

Ideally a bar environment where we can chat with others and hear each other. I have heard on Bedhoppers podcast LB is (or on occasion was) extremely loud and hard to have a conversation.

Any other tips relating to a first visit, much appreciated to help us find our feet. We need to plan in advance and we are thinking end of September onwards for a sat night...

Any other recommendations, no further North than VA, yes to us Cambridge to quite far North. We are South East.

The VA have an event this weekend. The festival of fun, understand that the nerves will tell you it's to big but we have met a few first time couples at the event now and it is a brilliant way to meet people and chat with no expectations because its during the day too.

Honestly it is really worth you looking at, you'll find people very easy to talk to and helpful with advice and how things work.

Theres a couple of threads in the forum about it and info on their website. Check it out

Cant comment on LB admits still on our to do list.

LB every time, although VA is decent place. The main ‘social’ space at LB is quiet large so not a big deal escaping the music and there’s another smaller social space downstairs.

I would say Le Boudoir, was our first club visit and was perfect for us. Great areas to socialise and more private areas to play if you are feeling a little shy VA is more open.

Both are great clubs so really go and check them both out.

We were at le boudoir on Friday for our first club south of the border. Loved it. Just go with the flow and enjoy it.

Go to Liberty elite and have the open areas to play in or go in a closed room, decor and clientele very good, hosts are always helpful & friendly.

But don’t seem to get a reply from their membership team

Which I find bizarre as I am a member of all the best clubs in London like le budoir and abfabs

I've never been to LB but I get the impression it's very upmarket which would make me even more nervous. Not saying that the VA isn't but when I went there was a very relaxed vibe. It's quite plush, nice and clean to

I would recommend LeBoudoir, is a very good club for newbies and definitely you won't be the only ones. Every time we go, we come across new couples that are having their first experience on the club scene. Hope you enjoy...

Both are very good in our experience. If you prefer possible privacy if your brave enough to play them LB has more to offer.

Both have lovely standards and are very welcoming.

Could I recommend Abfab/Kestrel near Heathrow.

It’s open every day of the week including Sunday. It has a fantastic indoor swimming pool and soon to a have brand new jacuzzi room. There’s a well stocked bar and huge cinema and lounge areas. A dungeon room and lots of play rooms. It’s very friendly and non cliquey.

Personally I would choose VA. It was my first club and just lovely and friendly. We go to LB and we love it but I would lean towards VA

We have booked Chic 23 at VA Saturday 28th September and on guest list after feeling a bit awkey doing our first photo verification and approval club thing. Something to look forward to as a first foray into this exciting/crazy world. Xx
