So I've read with interest the singles/couples views on clubs and it made me wonder if clubs atmosphere vary much across the country?

Clubs vary from night to night, depends who is in.

Clubs in north are alot about socialising. And I think they are generally friendlier.

But thats not hard and fast rule, it just depends on the night and the mix of people, if everyone is new and conservative then you are in for a different sort of night
