How did you get into the business? I only ask as I'm getting very drawn into this way of life and mixing with you lovely people and seriously considering broadening my horizons to running a club in the future.

Alas, there is not much information out there regarding management or business opportunities etc. So any info would be greatly appreciated

A few club owners have done some excellent posts on this subject previously on the forms to highlight the reality, well worth a forum search x

Thank you for that... Never thought about searching in here. It would bring up all the club meets and socials and take ages to search through. The words sex and club are one of the most used in here lol

Second this. Townhouse have posted some great, well balanced posts regarding running clubs. Others will say go for it but you have to look at it from all angles, do your research, have alot of money to invest, chose your area well (lots of clubs in the NW, other areas have fewer or none - usually for good reason). Sadly just enjoying the scene as a customer is not enough to be successful in business.

I’ve just done it/doing it. Happy to chat.

You have to have a thick skin and survive on a few hours sleep in the early days.

Can I recommend you learn the difference between a sex club and a swingers club before embarking on this idea.

PM if you like.

I would say the club will probably be the death of me as we work So many hours but we do it for the members, not for ourselves.

It's the hardest job I've ever had and I've been frontline NHS staff, so that gives you a glimmer of the stress involved.

If you're prepared to spend around £150k or more, 80-90 hours of your week and give up your love of swinging, them go for it. This industry kills your buzz when you're living it daily. You deal with the salt of the earth and will make the best friends, but you will equally be a crank magnet and they will make it their mission to make your life a misery.

Don't set up in the North West, that will be your biggest mistake. Also if you call a swingers club a sex club, you're already doomed to fail.

I could go on and on but I won't. My best advice is, don't do it. It's not a goldmine. But if you insist, then say farewell to the life you once had.

Aren't I a bright little star this morning? Hahaha Can't you tell I have a queue of cranks to deal with lol

Happy Saturday

I couldn’t agree more.

Cash cow/gold mine lol

You learn a hell of a lot but not sure how practical knowing the licensing reg on a SEV!!!

I mentioned to a friend (outside of this world) that when I go on holiday I will need extra baggage allowance for each eye bag

The mind boggles at the amount of money Abfabs/Kestrals have had to spend on getting up and running, and they have a strong reputation and client base. Nice dream, but I doubt the reality of dealing with the public makes up for it!

There is a good selection of clubs around the Manchester area, it could be worth chatting to their owners. They all seem a friendly bunch.

There is a big difference between running/managing a club and owning a club.

If you manage you'll be paid a wage and will follow or build on someone elses operation and ideas. To own a business requires much more knowledge and experience.

There appears to be lots of clubs in your region so my advice is get a part time job at any level in one of them, ask lots of questions & keep your eyes open. If you think you've got the skills and ideas to open your own venture then start looking for a suitable venue and location.

Thanks for the messages everybody. We will carry on organising socials for now and then who knows where we'll end up. Could be a club, a pub or hotel.. but there will always be a connection with swinging, I do know that

We'd love to do it! Cornwall has no clubs no parties no nothing. But alas we don't have the time nor the investment!!
