We're thinking about going to Secrets over the Bank Holiday. Reading the reviews currently and all seems good - anybody have any useful tips or advice? Are there places to stay nearby? (We don't want to stay on premise).

Honestly, there are not really any convenient places to stay nearby (and a lot of the local B&Bs don't like the custom from Secrets!!!).

The on-site caravans are super convenient, allowing you to arrive and leave in your own time, park on-site, and not worry about driving or getting a taxi (as it really is in the middle of nowhere).

Secrets is amazing, especially in the summer when the pool is open!

Tips: don't follow your satnav, use the written directions.

Hi we go every month and love it. Even though we are local to Secrets we stay in a caravan for convenience. It's very chilled, Chris and Teresa are lovely friendly and really make you welcome. Let me know if you come and ill make a point of saying Hi. X

Highly recommend Secrets always had a fantastic time, been there 6 times now. We are going back again on 25th to celebrate our engagement, should be a really good party.

We always stay in one of 20 onsite caravans and never had any issues.

The swimming pool is lovely and heated, the hot tub and sauna are also lots of fun. Really good crowd and the host's are fantastic.

I'm glad we asked now! A number of clubs who say they can accommodate mean you can sleep in the playrooms after everyone else has gone home. Ewwwww - no thank you! I'll drop them a note and see if there is availability etc.

Dress code. What does "sexy/elegant" mean in reality? Something sexy wear you'd out on a Saturday night...or something sexy you'd only wear, er, in ?

Both. I dress as if I was going out on a saturday with a bit of sass thrown in lol but some females just wear stockings and Basques. It's very relaxed. The guys are no trainers but can wear smart jeans.

There is definitely power in the caravans! (just can't use 2 heated things at once, eg kettle & hairdryer)

Weather should be good

The party goes on all night.. waste of a hotel room..

It’s our favourite party venue.. shame it’s so far away.. we try to visit at least twice a year

Hosts C&T will look after you .. fantastic people

Oh no !!! There is oanother caravan park near I've not used it but people I know have I can find out details if you want or as been said bring a tent. Lots of room to camp.

One tip i would give you, enjoy yourselves and I’m sure you will, chris and teresa are brilliant hosts the people are really friendly and the venue is amazing !! I can assure you it won’t be your last visit

be sure to just speak to people, the more you put in the more you’ll get out

as for staying over, just sleep where you crash hehehehe enjoy x

Caravans are Ok... they have a bed.. clean linen and pillows.. and loo .. and electric.. basic but serve their purpose.. which is getting a few hours kip away from the party if needed!!

We generally take a tent in summer and just use it to sleep in.. shower in house.. the hosts are just absolutely fantastic.. so welcoming and friendly.. they will make you feel so at home as soon as you arrive.. would hv loved to go this weekend but dates are never aligned.. planning on August though and making a long weekend! Mrs x

it stays busy enough all night until the next day

We will be there Saturday and possibly the rest of the weekend! Lol

So lucky to have this place less than half an hour away.

Thanks for the abusive and incorrect post Mr Mrs P, we would have corrected you privately but you have blocked us, of course we know who you are and have been expecting one of your troll posts again for some time!

To clarify for anyone interested, our dress code is smart casual for the guys and sexy for the girls. If a girl chooses to wear a female trouser suit that fits our dress code criteria then we have and never have had any objection to that.

It's looking like it's going to be a really good party tonight and we hope all of you coming along will have an enjoyable night. Looking forward to seeing you all.

I've never been met by a homophobic cave man. I've always been met by warm genuine lovely people. As for trouser suits.... from my experience I've never been told I can't wear trousers. To be honest not many people wear a lot any way lol. It's all part of the fun. Xx

Prehaps people should really read the comments on people who have actually been not go around hijacking threads spreading hate or trying to put people off and from behind a hidden profile that have never been? it's a great club, almost always full every month and with a massive following. we meet a good few people who even travel half of the length of the country to spend a night there every month to enjoy a great time and you can't say that for many places.
