New club in manchester

Manchester

I've been working with a friend to open a potential new club in Manchester,we have found a place in the city centre which will be big enough for our vision to take place. I and my partner are just wondering if a new club was to open, what events would people like to see and to see if people have suggestions as to what style rooms they'd like to play in.

Why oh why would you want to open yet another club in the North West?!!! Have you done your due diligence?

OP there are already loads of swingers clubs in that area all vying for the same pool of visitors.

Why would you try a new venture in a saturated market? I'm sure you would have more success in a location where there is less competition.

So Amour is due to open again and you have cupids, Partners, no3 all within travelling distance. Why open another one in manc area? How are you going to compete with these clubs?

OP, my suggestion would be to choose an area that isn't already saturated with clubs.

Then do Lots of research and ensure you have very deep pockets.

There have been a 2 or 3 new clubs recently that haven't lasted long.

Probably not best idea but if you want to try there is no arm in going for it.I would love to see one open in Cheshire situated equal distance from the numerous areas that exist in the Cheshire area.

Suppose it depends which areas will allow swingers clubs. I know Liverpool doesn't, maybe cheshire is the same.

Cheshire won't allow them. There have been several clubs over the many years I have been on the scene trying to open in Cheshire....they get a call from the council and it's all over quicker than a blowjob in a brothel

yes would be good to see a club in North Wales again. Pennant Hall was good in its day and I'm sure another club would do just as well with people from Wales and also visitors to the area.

We looked at buying Pennant but it was way out of our price range and needed silly money spending on the renovation. Plus there's a reason why it closed...didn't want to buy someone else's problem.

North Wales needs a good club and there's LOADS of empty buildings with loads of land just begging to be developed. Just depends if the local authority will give permission

I’d rather travel half hour compared to an hour, you are quite right though I’d probably not venture to often to one if it was the end of my road, wouldn’t fancy seeing the old grandad from round the corner in there.

Not a single one of you have suggested an idea for the club. For all you know they have done their research. Competition is always good as it benefits the customers.

I would suggest events to try and attract a younger crowd into swinging.

Sex themed games to break up the groups and get people mingling.

Be an active host and not just behind the bar, get stuck in with the customers.

Have reasonable and clear pricings.

If you have a bar, ensure it is staffed so people are not waiting ages for a drink.

Strong big lockers, most clubs have small lockers plus have a CCTV facing the locker room to safeguard valuables.

Themes nights, many clubs do black BBW etc ones. Try something different to spice it up and get people to try to think a bit more... Say a Roaring 20's night with music, attire, hair styles and decorum of the time.

If you have a party area, try not to make it the centre of attention as I find in many clubs, the bar area takes away from the swinging areas.

Mix the kinksters with the swingers.

Manchester is a high population area, makes sense to go to where the most people are that potential customers with little to no regional over reach into your business.

If they’d done their research, they’d know all of this anyway

And when you have the owners of successful clubs & venues in the north west giving an honest appraisal of what they would be facing - on the back of other clubs on the region having to close, I think the comments that have been given are of more value to the OP!

"Competition is always good as it benefits the customers"

No, it doesn't, nor does it benefit the clubs.

There are at least 6 clubs in the Greater Manchester area, many more in the NW in general. We have visited many of them, on more than one occasion. Of those visits, only one club was consistently busy with a range of customers.

You might be lucky but I think you would have a better chance of success in a different area.

We are not being party poopers, just trying to stop the OP wasting time and money.

The club in Preston that didn't last long, is probably the best example.

Not in the business of clubs but a different industry.

Stick to the basics of supply and demand

- the OP will either have to add something totally new and unique that gets people going from a large catchment area to spend (and KEEP spending like the Casinos in Las Vegas).

- Or cater to the demand.

I'm a member at one NW club over an hour from me because it's an occasional indulgence and attend even less frequently other clubs for specific events.

The NW is saturated. In reality you'd make more guaranteed income from a daycare centre or Jump Extreme type thing.

Hopefully you have approached the local council first to see if they would approve a club in the area before you view the place as you wouldn't want to waste yours or anyone else's time. There's often a good reason why there isn't a club for miles in a given area

Club sx was a rebrand of Connections. And Sx previously did great parties , it thrives on the tv / bi market more than any other club .... thriving doesn’t always mean viable money wise .... when you equate hours put in and profit made you’ll see how hard clubs are

Hanky is spot on we are different to anything else out there and appeal to everyone and now have over 100 people attending nearly every Saturday night, week in week out. Last Saturday nights UVP party attendance was 153 people, 54 couple, 28 single male, 16 Single females and only 1 TV, so not just a Bi & TV club I guess we get lots & lots of couples every week now that trust us as at Club Sx.

Every event we do has a different make up with awesome hosts to fit each event, for example a greedy girl night will get a high % of single males & a Tgirl event will get a lot of Tgirl & Bi people. Mixed events like our 70's nights & UPV are just that and everyone's welcome. Flaunt gets lots of couples and single females ect ...

The difference at Club Sx is we appeal to everyone from all parts of the swinging community and everyone one is excepted for who they are, no matter what they are and feel comfortable being that.

The swinging world has moved on from 3 or even 2 years ago and continues to change and it's not about the amount of clubs as our nearest competitor is only 2 miles away from us its about working harder & listening and giving people what they want and why townhouse has been so successful over the years. Its also about the quality of the club, the events and people involved in the club and how is managed licensed with a bar or not.

Clubs would be pointless then. A lot of these single women wouldn't be able to afford it. The demographic is generally single mothers.

I'd be surprised if the local council in llandudno would allow this as they seem very strict on what type of business they want in the town. Would be great if you did open there but realistically I don't think it will happen

when pennant Hall was open in penmanwaer there were people travelling from far and wide and there was absolutely nothing else in the town. So opening in llandudno would get even more people travelling to North Wales. so no you are wrong on the clientele they would attract.

North

To go to Manchester clubs I would rather take that extra 1 hour and go to chamilions in daralston,it's a gold mine that place at weekend

Manchester has to many clubs all trying to win each other.

Would be great if you did open there but realistically I don't think it will happen "

Have you checked with the local council OP?

I’d echo this. No point viewing a premises unless you know the council would license it. Llandudno is notoriously strict on what businesses it will allow, because of it’s listed / heritage status & reliance on tourist trade.

You may find that you need to look elsewhere in North Wales for a council that will give you the relevant permissions before trying to source a venue!

There’s no way Penrith town council would ever allow a swingers club here! I would love someone to put in an application though; the resulting heart attacks would kill off some of the aged, backward-thinking fuddy-duddies we have currently

Carlisle could work though; there is a sauna in the city attracting swingers
