We're thinking of coming up to Birmingham to try one of these clubs in the middle weekend of March.

What would you say are the main differences between them, and which do you prefer?

Chams chilled dressdown straight away, take your own booze & has 2 x buffets on a Saturday night. Xtasia nightclub most dress vanilla but some sexy and few do dressdown, licenced bar. Xtasia have some great event nights, what are your dates? We enjoy both as totally different xx

Depends on what you are after from a club and personal preference really. We have been to both.

Chams is dress down straight away, when you arrive you have to walk through the club in your normal clothes and go straight to the locker rooms to get changed. The dress code for men is boxers or a towel and women is sexy underwear.

Xtasia has more of a nightclub feel, where all the playrooms are off the main dance floor, usually about 11pm the daddy’s dress down from their sexy dresses to something a little less comfortable

but if you want to walk through the club naked you can. The also have events on a Saturday that offers a buffet.

Personally we prefer Xtasia as we like the social element and to choose if & when we strip.

It really depends on what night you are going and what you are looking for from the experience?

I would definitely say Xtasia! If you want a place that’s relaxed, friendly and welcoming this is it!! The staff at _tasia are 2nd to none, they alway go that extra mile for their guests!!

Red Carpet event in March is an amazing event!

They are both fantastic clubs, depending on what you are after though depends which you want to go to. There is a lot more sex at chams than _tasia but is a dress down club so that is to be expected.

Xtasia is great for the nightclub feel

Chams is great for a chilled sex fueled night.

We've never been to Chams but we regularly attend Xtasia and it's a fantastic club, friendly and always lots of fun to be had . It does have a nightclub feel and is great for socialising but there is also lots of opportunities to play

We much prefer chams. Always lots of fun and the Jacuzzi's are always fab although can be a bit much for the eyes with the chlorine.

We have only been once to _tasia and we didn't enjoy as much as chams but seemed like a fun place. Xx

Chams has recently had some additional ventilation put in at least one of the jaccuzzis which should improve things. Problems really start if people don`t shower before using them and the chlorine will give off that eye stinging smell because it`s doing it`s job. Some perfumes or deodorants can have the same effect too apparently.

Having attended Xtasia instead of Chams last month we can only say what a massive mistake. They are as different as chalk and cheese. Xtasia was all about waiting around and people dressed to impress whereas Chams is all about having filthy fun with like minded people who just don't judge or pigeon hole people. Not everyone is the same but massive thumbs up for Chams! We felt we had wasted a night at Xstasia

Whilst yes we love Chams, live there if we could, we like to add Xtasia to the mix. They have some great events coming up, Foam Party, Red Carpet etc which add another dynamic. Both totally different and its nice to glam up sometimes

Xtasias every time . We've been to chameleon's a few times on couples nights and mixed night's . The mixed night's were a nitemare guys just kept pestering us and a few wouldn't take no for a answer , has put us off chameleon's plus we both love the fact we can stay dressed in _tasias and we find that more appealing as if you meet a couple you like or a guy you get to see how well dressed or sexy they are and like the suspense of what's under those clothes . Guys at _tasias much more respectful . We've been attending _tasias now 5 years and every time we go have a fantastic time . Great team there and the owners do a fantastic job . We always day try something twice so if you have only been to _tasias once and now saying it's rubbish you are definitely wrong . Xtasias everytime for us xx

Hate these threads, lol. So, both clubs are totally different, and we try to be, so that's all good.

Just to highlight to some of the above, we now do heavy play nights, shagging from the start if that's what you like, and you probably won't find a more "adventurous" night in the Midlands than the BMFC evening, so don't just discount us as a nightclub!

Loads of great events going on here now, but as people have pointed out, if its sex you want in bucket loads any evening, head for Chams. Having a dress down policy from the start obviously removes a lot of barriers, and large Jacuzzi's makes it easy to start the fun off. We lived there for years, and appreciate the way it works.

Here, its a little more subtle and teasing, more of a build up through the evenings, so its down to you to try and find what works for you. Lovers and Haters, and those who chill and do both. Enjoy whatever you decide to do.

The massive dance floor and nightclub vibe swings it for us...oh and the Sexy barmaid twisting across the dance floor! So it's a drink and a dance, some sexy fun, another drink and a dance, more sexy fun then finish the night with...a drink and a dance. Xtasia for us

Great response! All the clubs are very different and to be honest the best way to find out if they are for you is to try them. The thing is, what works for one, may not always work for another, so always best to experience it and decide for yourself.

We go to Clubs to Swing and have Sex with other like minded people. We don’t go for Fancy Dress or Foam Parties.

So to that end we recommend Chams. It’s a Sexy Place from the off. Not a Dated Night Club xx

I'm neither geriatric or part of a couple and I attend chams with several single male and female friends. You're not doing _tasia any favours with these types of comments either.

As an aside, I like both clubs but I do prefer the dress down element of chams.

Xtasia do some amazing theme nights, my favourite is the foam party, so much filthy, soggy fun to be had.

Whilst on this thread, might be worth mentioning another couple of things.

When we took over Xtasia, a good few years ago now, Xtasia and Chams would have never been mentioned in the same paragraph, let alone asking for a comparison, so it is appreciated being up there now, close to what most would suggest is the best club in the country. Still more to do, we know it, but any club who rests on their laurels will soon fall be the wayside.

The other point to mention is that we all have nights where it doesn't quite work out. We have quiet nights, any new couples attending those may not rate the atmosphere and never attend again, going away with the impression the club is dead and boring. We know the same applies at Chams, and equally visitors on those nights will have the same impressions. Its why we always suggest going a good few times to any venue to get an idea of what its really like over time. We do a months free pass to new members, to encourage them to try other nights, that way they may well find a night that really suites them. Anyone who has visited us once, and had a poor night, just call me and I'll happily suggest an evening for them that will show them the other side of the club!

We also fully accept the differences between the two clubs. As someone just pointed out to me, if they were the same then whats the point? We are different, and attract a different core membership. Many of you are members of both, but will still have a preference based on where you feel comfortable.

Anyway, time to go and do more decorating, lol....feels like the Forth Bridge at times!

Totally agree, that's why we are members of both. We joined Chams first but now mix it up with Xtasia as the events are awesome. We love the social aspect of both but Xtasia for being able to glam up for certain events is what we love. See you all in the foam Saturday xx

Some unnecessary criticism of both clubs here depending on peoples favourite. Both are great swinging venues, both with plus and minus points. The best advice to the OP is to try one club, then next time try the other. Make your own mind up. What a boring world if we all liked the same things

We've attended both clubs and never got looked down on we are regulars at _tasias as we do prefer there . We have lumps and bumps and Late 40s and we always have people come up to us chatting to us . Just looked at your profile and we think you would be a very popular couple at _tasias , people think it's clicky but every one is friendly . Come try it think you both may be surprised xx

We have almost no experience, but have ventured to Xtasia.

Unfortunately we went on what seemed to be a quiet night, so didn't fully experience the atmosphere. What we did experience was how welcoming the staff and other guests where. Not once did we feel out of place. We were certainly not looked down upon, and I didn't feel anyone else was.

It had a night club feel, but they make no secret of that. This worked for us, because we would certainly not want a full dress down place (not at this stage anyway), but no judgement on those that do - I can see the appeal.

We'd love to go back on a busier night if we get the chance.

lol, I'd be careful about that, the long lists tend to run for months and have lots of no shows, the short lists often are for popular events where folks know they don't need to be on the lists. Lock and Key last weekend had 5 on guest list and over 60 couples turned up. Expecting similar for Foam, and if everyone shows for FFFF weekender at the end of March, I'll be gobsmacked. But yes, they can be a guide.

Of my recent visits to Chams, I`ve had exceedingly more difficulty finding couples and ladies of my own age! It seems a more younger group of people are now attending there.

But then, it depends on your own interpretation of "geriatric couples" is!

We get the feeling we wouldn’t be welcomed as we are F late 40’s and Male late 50’s. And although we consider ourselves as attractive we do have lumps and bumps as do most people.

We certainly don’t want to be looked down on.

We live in an image conscious world and get the vibe Xtasia is where all the “Beautiful” people go?
