"For want of a better term, what do people think is the “poshest” club in the uk? To be specific I mean a club where the decor is high end, it looks fabulous, is obviously very clean. Are there any clubs that are like that? I’ve been to quite a few around the Uk and none have yet been quite like that. Maybe it’s a difficult to achieve plush and high end interior decoration if lots of people are fucking on the soft furnishing every night. ![]() This is a very good question. I had to really give it a lot of thought. Having visited most of the North West, East and West Midlands clubs, most are very nice and clean (at least at the start of the evening) but I can't think of any that are 'posh'. Cupid's has nice decor and lighting I feel, but again that's just my opinion. Maybe there is a market for such a place?

"I’ve visited the Townhouse for a Raw event and have to say the decor had a nice upmarket feel to it and all the people who attended made a real effort and the event had real sexy vibe. That said the decor at No 3 is splendid very much like a posh nightclub but I’ve only ever been on a normal club night " Add cupids and you have 3 of the poshest clubs in the North West ![]()

"... but appear to serve canapés such as Iceland pork pies. " Hah...having seen a lot of club attendees, let's just say - as Paul Weller once opined - "The public gets what the public wants"

"Slightly off topic, but it does amuse me when some people use the term posh seemingly completely oblivious as to where the term comes from. When I get accused of being or speaking posh, say in certain parts of London or here in Manchester, I find myself asking them, do you know where the term comes from, what does it mean? 9 times out of 10 they will reply no. Port side out, port side in I reply, even then their eyes glaze over. No I am not posh, neither is my flogger, it has no preference, it and I enjoy caressing the skin of women from all areas of social standing. Adam "the gentleman thug"" Port Out Starboard Home

"So I think some might have misinterpreted my post. I wasn’t asking for places that ask you to dress up to attend or special parties like that. I meant that you felt the club was ‘upmarket’ so you instinctively dressed up to go there because it was such a nice environment. The terms I’ve used such as posh and upmarket aren’t exactly to my liking, but you get the gist. " Don’t be apologising for using the word posh. One reason we don’t attend Clubs in the UK is scruffy scratters with £20 in their pockets can just walk up and gain entry to most of them .

"Surely it's not about posh...it's about being clean and tidy and a relaxed fun experience? If you want posh...host a dinner party lol" I think they mean luxurious and swank and just not a shit hole where your gonna stick to the carpets and the place has more gloss paint on the doors and walls than B&Q has in it’s shop!
