Etiquette
Generally you get to the counter, pay, and get given a towel and locker key. Obviously, cash is more discrete than a bank card, so consider that aspect before you go. Prices are generally between £15 to £20. Usually you don’t need a pound for the lockers, but always handy to have one. Some places have a towel ready for you in the locker, but if you’re not sure, ask! Depending what you have in mind, it is usually worth asking about condoms and lube – the trend seems to be to keep these behind the bar or counter rather than out for free use.
You will then be buzzed through into the sauna, and into the locker room. Unless it is a theme day, strip off and wrap yourself in the towel. Theme days can be sports wear, underwear, t-girl, etc. Usually these are optional about whether you follow the theme or not. The one which isn’t optional is naked day, where no towels are allowed. Your towel is usually replaced by an absorbent towel, about the size of a flannel. Naked days take an extra bit of courage to do, but once you’re there it is fine I promise, and they are always the busiest days.
The next priority needs to be a shower – it is just the right thing to do. Usually these are near the entrance, but sometimes you will need to head off and explore.
Once you are showered, you set, ready to go.
So what to do? This is where it will get down to your preference and what you are into. Usually the steam rooms are a good place to start. Hang your towel up, and head in, and hopefully you’ll not be on your own. Sit down relax, and see who is about. There are a couple of points here. The first off, no one talks in a sauna. It is like the London Underground. So how do you make a move, or get made a move on? There are generally 2 approaches – the subtle is touching feet or legs, generally some body contact that indicates that you are interested. The second is just going for the cock! Either way, saying no is completely fine. So is asking to go somewhere more private. It depends on you, and what you want to do.
What is allowed? Well generally anything goes. Mostly that is wanking and sucking. Sometimes fucking. So after relaxing for a while, time to explore. Most places have areas which get busier than others, and the busy areas attract more people. A good example of this is glory holes. These are typically in cubicles, linked to one or more other cubicles, with appropriate height holes. These can be completely empty for ages, and then suddenly really busy if there is some action going on. The usual approach is hang your towel over the door or through the hole to indicate you are in there. Or just stick your cock out through the hole, and hope someone goes for it. There seem to be 2 general approaches to your time. The first is moving from one area to another, seeing who is about and whats going on, or to find one place, such as a cubicle and wait for someone there. Personally I think that the more effort you put in the better time you will have. If you wait or watch from the edges, you won’t get as much attention as if you make yourself available. Do respect others – if they have said no, they won’t change their mind no matter how much you follow them around
Do be brave – if we all waited for someone else to make a move, nothing would happen

Don’t assume that having fun with someone means you stick with them all night – it is a casual sex place, not first dates!
Do be clear about bareback. Personally I never would, but some people like it. Just be clear you’re both in agreement before rather than after!
