"It can be really daunting at first, especially going in solo. Once you're through the door it can be anticlimactialy normal We've only been to Cupid's and Amour in Manchester. Amour is undergoing refurb so it's not open as much. Cupid's is a great club. You do need to dress down into underwear upon entry to cupid's which might make it a bit more nervy if you're new? The various club's websites will tell you their policy on new guys attending. Some will want you to go through a vetting procedure whereas others will let you in there and then. Some will have couples and women's only nights and others will allow anyone at any time. Check out what the ones you're looking to visit say to avoid disappointment. In general, they'll all have similar layouts with a social/bar area near the entrance and playrooms leading off this. Treat the social area as you would a regular bar. Chat to people and look friendly. If you go towards the play areas, feel free to watch anyone playing in open areas but don't crowd them or follow people around. If you see someone you like the look of, catch their eye and smile. If they're not 'busy' then say hi and see if they want to chat. Don't be put out if they are evasive - single guys can have a coloured reputation thanks to the behaviour of others. No always means no and don't touch without being explicitly invited to. Keep an eye on the club events section of the forum for local club events that might interest you. Introduce yourself on the thread and see if anyone responds to you. In all honesty, your first visit will probably be spent around the bar feeling a little lost. But if you make an effort to put yourself out there and look friendly and approachable then you'll quickly make friends " Thanks alot for the advice and taking the time to write it Will take it all into account... I believe somewhere on the site you can attend social meets too which maybe another avenue I go down too | |||
