Would love to attend a club and go on a regular basis but loathed to spend 25 to join and the same to enter £50 for your first visit

Would make more sense (to us anyway) to make a first visit free or entrance fee only

Surely that would b more enticing

I teach and am often asked if people can have their first class for free. I suggest they see if my landlord is happy with that arrangement.

If people are given things for free they tend not to put any effort in. They also arrive with an air of entitlement.

The £25 is a lifetime membership so if you go on a regular basis then you’re going to get your moneys worth. Depends where you go and what you want. The price you are on about is probably Chameleons which is our preferred club. For a less costly experience Xtasia charges £10 to join and then you get free entry for a couple of months. Both clubs are different environments though.

Look at the club events forum, there are sometimes socials in clubs that don't don't require club membership as long as you are on the guest list for the event.

That way you can "try before you buy" kinda thing.

Thanks for all the input

We did attend townhouse and would become regulars however it’s too far out our way.

This is our point, we don’t want a free membership but don’t think it’s fair to be pushed into it on our first visit making it £50 plus drinks

Seems a lot

Close but not quite right.

Ladies is a £10 membership

Couples and single guys is a £30 membership and then your 2nd & 3rd entry is half price. We do that to encourage people to try the club a few times as every night is different and its good to judge better over a few nights.

Entry depends on which nights you come and wether you are a single lady, guy or couple.

And we discount forces, ex forces and blue light services.

One of the reasons we charge a membership is so that we dont get anyone & everyone in who just wants to gawp, like someone said in earlier post, you dont value as much what you get for free and our club is about lifestyle people rather than walk ins.

We vet people as well, anyone who joins usually goes via me on the phone first, and believe me I dont let any old tom, dick or harry in...

Tbh I dont think £50odd pounds for an experience that may change the way you think, or will stay in your memory forever, is alot when you compare to a night out at the cinema, a meal at a restaurant or a night out in town, well I dont think thats expensive.

And if you dont enjoy it, or dont think its for you, thats fine too, at least you tried it.

Thats exactly the point!

Going to normal nightclubs I know it's typical for men and women to spend £100 or more.

On what?? Entry and just booze. You do not get the opportunity for sex on that night inside those clubs. You most likely won't even get a snog and a randoms number!

Yet here yourself and others are moaning about the cost of entry eye for swinging clubs! Where when compared to normal typical nightclubs, the chance of sex that night in that swingers club, is greatly higher. lol. Heard it all now.

I think there's a definite difference between deciding whether 'club life' is for you, or preferring a particular club over others. Unfortunately, there's no money back guarantees here, you just have to suck it and see. If you don't enjoy one place, just try another, there are plenty to choose from. If it makes you feel any better, just compare couples' entry fees to those of single males. And, if you do make it in to a club sometime, say hello to the single males

All the best!

hiding from cock pics.

There are many different clubs and many different price ranges.

If one of them doesn't suit you, just visit another.

It's your money and you can spend it wherever you want.

There is, of course the chance that you might be missing out on a very memorable night, or you might have a fantastic night at the place of your choice.

Going for a meal, bowling, to the cinema or a meal especially with a round of drinks cost a lot of money.

Some people choose to stay in some people choose to go out.

It's your money and I hope you enjoy whatever you choose to spend it on.

Paying 50 for single males is good or there will be too many in the club's.

Also these clubs have staff, rent, rates, web sites, telephones, cleaners rubbish removal, fire safety checks, soft drinks, cleaners etc to pay

So you all want it free do you. The club won't last long will it. We are happy to pay whatever as long as we have a great night and feel safe. If you can't afford a club then go dogging, it's free

It goes without saying that any swingers club has to charge membership, to ween out the pissed up post pub crowd and have an air of exclusiveness.

Since most clubs are BYO booze, a night out in a swingers club is a lot more affordable than a night in the local pub paying a fiver a pint, plus the environment of a swingers club normally is a lot more civilised than a night out on the town. It's unlikely to find people getting wasted if they are serious about playing.

If you can't afford a club then go dogging, it's free"

Don’t think anyone begrudges nor can’t afford

We r new to the club scene and would like to try

But when most clubs ask 25 membership and then 25 entry on the first night seems excessive and could put people off

I find your tightness to be extremely rude.

If you get an invite to a party, would you even bring a bottle.... and would it be a budget bottle from a downmarket supermarket or would you even bother to let them moths in your wallet to catch some air?

I guess you'll find a trip on a cruise ship a lot more expensive than a night out in a swingers club.

Open the wallet, spending a bit of money to enjoy yourself won't exactly kill you.

Wouldn’t u like more ladies

More couples at your club

Do u not see how a first visit of £50 being off putting?

That’s all our point is

Nobody wants anything for free

Just think more people would entertain the idea of a first visit was more reasonable

No we r not all pissed up paupers wanting to bring the club into disrepute

To be honest guys it all depends on the type of club you go to. We go to the Hellfire club and we had to pay a membership and entrance fee. It was 60 i think but we had a great time and it was worth it. But it was a proper swingers night club with play rooms and dungeon but BGHS IN BRIGHTON IS ABOUT 20 PER COUPLE. IT'S A SAUNA WHERE SWINGERS go and at xtasia in Darlston I can assure you the membership is worth it so it really is worth asking on here about the club's first before you go as the membership fees are needed to keep the undesirables out and you safe when enjoying the club's. Just be glad some guy or lady decided to spend there money on opening a club for us to go too. Most don't make a profit although the ones who do are very good. Have a good night when you go xx

Wherever the party is!

Personally, I look at swinging as a hobby. I've had a fair few hobbies over the years and to be honest, I don't think I've spent as much money on swinging as I have on other fun activities!

Bear in mind that I'm a single guy (in case you didn't notice ) so I pay higher rates to get into clubs. I also like to stay in hotels and used to hire a car to get there sometimes.

If you're serious about playing a sport, especially as an amateur or semi pro, you can spend loads on uniform, club membership fees, decent equipment etc. I've seen people who are into kink bring a bag full of hundreds of pounds worth of equipment. That's before they set for in a club. Heck, I've even had girlfriends with dildo that cost more than club entry and they weren't even swingers!

But at the end of the day, you do have to consider value for money when you weigh up the cost with what you get out of it. Personally, I think the friends I've made and the experiences I've had since getting involved are...PRICELESS!

If clubs didn't charge they'd have all n sundry through the door.

Some charges are extortionate and others are just covering costs.

Bear in mind some clubs only sell soft drinks so aren't making on alcohol. They have high running costs too.... it maybe your fun but its their business.

Memberships often also help sort out the swingers from the horny idiot chancers

Everybody missing the point we don’t want a freebie and don’t even mind a membership fee

But having to pay it on a first visit can often make it £50 before u know if it’s for u or not

The best thing to do is keep an eye on the swinging club/events section. There are always lots of events at clubs that you don't need to be a member for. Perfect way to check out the club to see if you like it before becoming members.

Plus there are plenty of clubs that offer free membership/free entry with membership.

I think everyone has got a valid point, we all had to pay it on our first visit, why do you think you should be different? There will always be risks in life, just bite the bullet and do it, if it's not for you then you lost £50 but if it works out then you've opened the door to some amazing experiences.

We had never swung in our lives, never even had a 3some! We went along to Chams on a Sunday, paid the entrance fee and membership (about £45 total) not even knowing if we would like it. If we didn’t like it all it had cost us was the price of a half decent meal out....

It was a gamble yes but actually £50 seems pretty reasonable for my safety and comfort which is what you get when you go to a club. Also you only generally pay membership once or at worst once a year.

We’ve been to around 8 or so clubs in the north west and Yorkshire as a couple and never once paid a membership fee. We’ve always just paid the entrance fee of £20-30.
